I browsed around that site a little. I don't get the feeling that they would have done this as a hoax. They did a telepathy experiment trying to send a number from a girl in a pyramid to thousands of people. They got the results and showed it didn't work (this time - it did the previous year).

If they were scammers, why not just fudge the numbers. But who knows. My guess is the lizards don't like the kind of experiments going on there so have a spy...who looked like she got a download when she was gazing up. Then as her brain was resetting, the reptile eyes flashed.
