So I've never questioned the numbers. Defense costs what it costs is my opinion and honestly like most Americans there is no difference to me between a billion or a trillion - all I know is it's gobs more than I'll ever have.

That said, I do understand the math behind counting something twice or a thousand times. Why do we allow the perception to be different than the reality? Why cant we just say the Pentagon had thousands of accounting errors that allowed it to lose track of x% of it's 1999 fiscal budget or some such wording? Than we'd understand the actual problem.

I'm getting tired of the false reporting. It's beyond fake news this kind of stuff.
