Quoting: mona lizard  Two kids college education ~ plus room and board. No loans. Enough left for weddings and nice down payments for their houses... I also baught my home, with the money I made on my company’s stock in the 90’s... I’m mostly out, getting close to retirement!  These numbers are crazy. No doom until it drops by the thousands... My kids started their 401k with a little of company their company’s stock and the rest in savings. It’s been a bad time to get in for a long time... Only on glp, would I feel like a total whore.  I remember when it dropped by the thousands in 2008. Gave this old woman quite a shock. Just sat there and watched it with my friend. When it closed, (with the old 666 tribute just to fuck with us) I turned to my friend and said, "this is gonna hurt." Now, I say fuck it. I have no fucks left to give. Half the country's retiring broke. The basic order of American life has broken down. So, why worry? The doom already happened. |
