They are more like dumb kids. We just need to discipline them and set them right. How do you “discipline” them and “set them right”? You laugh at them. Pity them. You don't let them get to you. Also, you have to stop fearing them. Fear is all they can do to you. I mean never say never, if God allowed it can always get physical. But usually they just like to scare. They're the biggest cowards. Are you referring to physical or non physical beings? Or both?
