If I am correct with the way the Bible and Christianity works as long as you have your some forgiven and accept ol Jesus as your Lord savior you can do pretty much what you want.

I understand that, My wife is the one that suggested her friend fill in for her, not me.

From my comprehension i could be wrong but if your wife is ok and the other person is ok with it than I don't see how it could be wrong. Just my opinion and I could be wrong. If you do it and feel guilty ask God for forgiveness. He will place in your heart if you have done wrong before him.
