Seizures from withdrawal are not common unless you stop cold turkey. You're supposed to use a gradual tapering schedule over some months.
Quoting: Etchasketch The professional methodology for tapering, and what doctors do in the real world, are two completely different things. Many 'patients' are just sent off onto the street with a physiological Benzo dependency that ends up ending their lives. Only a very good doctor that cares about you will taper you off correctly under the strictest supervision. When I say correctly, that means going down by 5% increments, not instantly going from 8 mg to 2 mg to no mg, then dead. Quoting: DarkHorizonz Fair point, I don't doubt many people have died because they weren't taken off of it properly.
