Re: For those who are not christian but believe Jesus existed
2:18-23 Every man is an antichrist, who denies the Person, or any of the offices of Christ; and in denying the Son, he denies the Father also, and has no part in his favour while he rejects his great salvation. Let this prophecy that seducers would rise in the Christian world, keep us from being seduced. The church knows not well who are its true members, and who are not, but thus true Christians were proved, and rendered more watchful and humble. True Christians are anointed ones; their names expresses this: they are anointed with grace, with gifts and spiritual privileges, by the Holy Spirit of grace. The great and most hurtful lies that the father of lies spreads in the world, usually are falsehoods and errors relating to the person of Christ. The unction from the Holy One, alone can keep us from delusions. While we judge favourably of all who trust in Christ as the Divine Saviour, and obey his word, and seek to live in union with them, let us pity and pray for those who deny the Godhead of Christ, or his atonement, and the new-creating work of the Holy Ghost. Let us protest against such antichristian doctrine, and keep from them as much as we may.

Re: For those who are not christian but believe Jesus existed
I think that there are people that appear when humanity gets too far off the path we're supposed to be on be it through corruption, evil or even just culturally. Since I also believe there is not one path to God, then God would have to provide different paths to follow. They are chosen by God, and in that aspect are indeed divine.

I believe Jesus was one of these chosen people of God and was put here to help humanity find their way toward Him. So no, I don't think Jesus was any more crazy then the historical Buddha or Krishna.

As to the claims of my words will judge...if I'm not mistaken it says something to the effect that GOD with judge through the gospel of Jesus. Okay, I have no real issue with that, because Jesus, like other Holy men, spoke a spiritual truth.

Thing is, MAN put their fingers into it and men have their own agendas. What if Jesus' words were the same ones preached all over the world for generations...then the path to God remains the same, just the messenger is different.

Re: For those who are not christian but believe Jesus existed
yesterday i watched this long video on remote viewing the crucifixtion and they all came back with the same answers.

The Crucifixion Ruse

apparently there was another person who took his place Mary even went to see who had taken his place.
there were disciples yes but Judas was not the backstabber the bible states.
the remote viewers picked up alot of information on both men.
very interesting if you have the time.

The real guys name was cherestos and he died in Rome like that. The Romans purposely created the confusion later so to suit their needs. As long as you know there is a savior what's to stop you from conquering someone and bring democracy I mean freedom...I mean Jesus to their country.or palace ...

Utter nonsense. The Bible manuscripts use the word Christian 3 times. The Greek word translates to "Christanos" - followers of Christ

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

The earliest occurrences of the term in non-Christian literature include Josephus, referring to "the tribe of Christians, so named from him;". Pliny the Younger in correspondence with Trajan; and Tacitus, writing near the end of the 1st century. In the Annals he relates that "by vulgar appellation [they were] commonly called Christians" and identifies Christians as Nero's scapegoats for the Great Fire of Rome.

Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp (1st century AD) also used the word.

----------------------------------------------------
Christ nor Peter started the RCC.

Once Constantine had his "vision", won the battle and subsequently made Christianity legal AND the "official religion" of the Roman Empire...

...they merely assimilated the existing Christian network of churches that had already existed for well over 200 years.

To say the RCC is the original church as set up by the Apostles is misleading, and conveniently ignores the 200+ years of persecution that Rome doled out during that time.

And the origianl manuscripts used to create the Latin Bible predate the RCC by 300+ years.

God and His Son Jesus merely used Rome to spread Christianity, since the Roman Empire was still the most powerful in that area of the world.

The Reformation was started by God and Jesus because of all the atrocities the RCC had been commiting, especially the notion that lay-people were NOT to read the Bible.

These days, most of the Christian denominations are similar to the RCC in the sense that they have gotten away from good Biblical teachings.

Just look at all the scandals and upheaval that is happening in them.

What the hell did my thread turn into? Ugh I am not talking about religion... I am asking about the historical Jesus and His words. Go RE READ my original post and answer it. I am asking a question to people WHO BELIEVE HE EXISTED AND BELIEVE HE SAID THE WORDS WE HAVE IN THE GOSPELS, BUT ARE NOT CHRISTIAN.

It's called radical atheism.

They like to attack anyone who proclaims Jesus as being historically real.

Even the fake Christian scholar Bart Ehrman admits that Jesus actually existed.

No need to be radical to just say that Jesus was a real man who taught us how to love. No need to make a human into a God. Four Gospel writers who never met Jesus writing 50 to 100 years after the death of Jesus tried to make him into a God in order to start a new religion.

He was nothing but a leader of a cult. But I will say he was a SJW liberal so thats why he was about peace. Most of the subsequent leaders were corrupt murderers though. They realized real quick that people with low intelligence are easily led and will believe anything.

Dont mean to offend. Its just how I see it.

Re: For those who are not christian but believe Jesus existed
Whether he existed or not, his message was sound. That said, it's a shame it was a naive pipe dream.

If Jesus was real, he didn't understand how this place works (not that anyone can expect the son of God to understand such things. It would be like expecting a person born into lavishness to understand what it's like to grow up broke and impoverished).

This place is not built to become what he or his true followers envision, and it never will. It's built to be exactly what it is, and always has been.
 Quoting: Sinclair

So Jesus, and His Father, were short-sighted and just didn't get it, eh? Thank God that's not correct, but I defend your right to believe it, wishing, of course, that you preferred heaven as your destination, but you will probably be of the "there's no heaven or hell" variety.

The loss is all yours, and you won't believe it until the final judgement. Then suddenly you will remember this conversation and doubtless many other similar conversations, and wish you had another chance.
 Quoting: Pooka

They didn't, which is why nothing has really changed with regards to the operation of the mechanism here. It's been millennia since Jesus and we're still fighting the same battles.

Pedophiles still exist and prosper. Wars still occur. Starvation, habitat destruction, greed, on and on...How do you reconcile that with the idea of their success?

My opinion of this place aligns with that of the Cathars. We're in Hell, if there is one.

Sick? Nope. Not a chance.

Your knowledge of history is lacking.

Sure is odd that both Hebrew and Roman historians record the persecution and killing of Christians for the 250+ years BEFORE Constantine had his "vision". This wouldn't be the case if it was merely "happenstance".

And the RCC truly didn't start grasping hold of the Catholic Empire until 445, when the emperor Valentinian III decreed that all western bishops must obey the pope.

And manuscripts were altered adding words to Matthew 28:19 and 1 John 5:7 to support the "trinity doctrine".

[link to www.trinitytruth.org]

The earliest manuscripts of the New Testament currently date to 60 AD. Not the original written ones for sure but pretty dang close.

And they are 90 - 95% accurate with either the Latin or the KJV.

You don't believe in God nor His Son so your understanding is clouded by the vail.

Reading Greek, Aramaic or even Summerian is unnecessary.

Claims that the "Four Gospel writers, who never met Jesus, writing 50 to 100 years after the death of Jesus" are pure conjecture and have no true basis in fact.

Just because the original documents don't exist doesn't mean that the claimed writers never wrote them.

You have no verifiable proof of such.

At the same time, there is not ONE SINGLE SHRED of archaeological evidence that actually contradicts ANYTHING in the Bible.

Last and most certainly not least, you have no answers for the millions of folks who...

Re: For those who are not christian but believe Jesus existed
Of course they were killing them because it was a secret sect. A people's religion. do you know where everything comes from?
It comes from a hut ,from a village, from learning then there is an elder. Then there's always some asshole who wants to take advantage... if you cant beat them join them right? And many were killed...it is describing two stories at the same time as above so below. Have you any clue what the toltecs achieved for example? do you think there's separate stories going on in different parts of the world or is it just 1 concept album?
