Gasoline for $1.62 a gallon

$2.69 at Speedway in Asheville NC just now. They are usually cheapest.

I'm always glad to see the price come down, but why is it always the day after I fill my empty cans?

I asked because our son is in a track meet tomorrow. He was on CC as well. Yes, JD was always the rival...in fact they chopped down our 'ol oak tree' that was part of our alma mater years back. FMs revenge was painting the outside of their HS green LOL

Some Ford F150's with the long bed have the larger tank. The first time I filled it I couldn't believe that much fuel was going in.

My son was on CC too. I probably suffered miserably watching right next to you at a meet.

Yep! The first time I filled my '03 Ford Expedition's tank I was like "What?! Do I have a major fuel leak somewhere?!". So I looked. I smelled no gas from underneath, nor saw and heard anything spilling or dripping out. Dang... some of these vehicles' fuel tanks are fricken huge.

Yeah the Gov has to pay for all our large Muslim immigrant families and their 10 Mohamads as they dont work.

An oil price crash precipitated that last recession, when it went from $161 in June 2008 to $50 is January 2009. That recession ushered in the jobless, inflation-filled clown world we currently inhabit.

When I was in oil it used to be bittersweet to see the prices come down like this. ** I lied in my previous unedited post by saying it was all sweet now that I am out of oil. **

Here in Oregon (30mi. East of Portland), it's $3.25/gal. right off the freeway (truckstop).

Or, it can be had for $2.80/gal. if you come further into town.

The last time I saw a price like that where I used to live was about 11 years ago.

Gas in Central TX last week was still something around $2.30.

This isn't a good thing because it shows the economy is going to shit. I had a rough 8 years with Obama and it's only going to get worse.

Shrimp boats hold about 20k to 40k gallon for fuel.
