Here's the sticking point for me with all of this, women never make advances. They literally wait for men to make the approach and use that as the first test. "If he's too cowardly to approach me he's not worth my time."

How do we square this reality with the anti-romance culture that #meetoo has created? Look, I'm 27 and in my attempt to simply do what women have telegraphed I must do to impress them, I've been a little bit of a creep in the past, but only because I was awkward and inexperienced. If you're making out with a woman and you're too tentative, it's a turn off. If you're too aggressive then it comes off bad. There's a sweet spot that you have to feel out at all times during escalation if you want to make it to 3rd base and you can't show any hesitation or nervousness. It's like walking a fucking tight rope, while she just sits there and in most cases doesn't say a damn thing, but is judging the whole time.

Here's what I think things may become.. in ancient Athens it was normal for a man not to have any relationship with a woman until he was 30. This was simply because men in their 20s little value comparatively. They lack status, wealth and the sex appeal that comes with maturity for men.

In exchange 30 year old men would marry 14 year old girls, the time when women hold the highest sex appeal (physically speaking at least, I personally like a woman with the maturity of an adult.)

Anyway, here's the point about #meetoo, if you are good enough at flirting, then you can flirt without being a villain. This is why young men are so reviled, they're inexperienced and angsty about it. I wish society would be more understanding.

rant edit/ as for the topic, to me it's a story about a guy trying to get laid. It comes off creepy because the guy is being so aggressive about getting her to stay, plus there's alcohol, but god damn how else does sex ever actually occur?
I remember Terrence Mckenna once saying that if alcohol never existed then no one would've ever fucked in the middle ages, because everyone was ugly and stunk. Seriously, it feels like no one actually fucks in this world, but only the "involuntary celebates" are willing to admit it.
