I was going to do a blog post about this, but I didn't have the energy, so let me surmise...

Woman came to the man's apartment during a snow storm for some flirting, drinks, or more ...

She likes the man, or else she wouldn't be there ...

She came to his apartment on her own, not like she needed a ride to get home ... ie., she wasn't tied up in the basement.

She wants him, and wants him to want her. She wants him to tell her how much he wants her.

I think this generation doesn't understand how relationships between men and women used to be. Now everything is an assault.

I have been disappointed by some of my friends pointing this song out as abuse, but I remember being young, when you want to be with another, and worry if you'll make it home in time.

I think this songs pisses the new generation off because they are unsure of their sexuality, and if they want a man - it must be abuse.

In the song, the woman, alone, is in a man's apartment, I guess she just wanted to watch football, lol, even though it was recorded in the 40's when no one had TV.

All this is to push forward an agenda that most heterosexuals understand, but is now wrong. How dare he not understand that she wants to leave, but she keeps not leaving? It's cold outside, don't you want to stay - is now abuse.

None of us of my age would have been born if men were not stronger than women, and women finally surrendering into what they want is not rape.

Tired of SJWs, and soy boys and girls.

Hell when I was a kid I liked the song because it spoke of a sexy, romantic evening with the man I loved, nowadays you can't want a man and if you do you are being abused.

Rant off

The cognitive dissonance in our culture is astonishing. No "Its Cold Outside ", ut 10yr olds mimic Niki Minaj's Anaconda.

I'm 56, and have been listening to oldies Christmas songs for almost all of that time. I never heard this song until the last few years. Maybe it fell out of the rotation in the mid60s, and only came back because everybody and his brother had to play Christmas tunes from Halloween on? What comes around?

Have you heard sixteen year olds singing Santa Babt in church Christmas programs? It’s meant to be sultry, a mistress asking her sugar daddy for luxury gifts, back when being a sugar baby was a little bit naughty.

They ruin a good old fashioned song.

Totally miss the fifties repression that gives nuance to “so hurry down the chimney tonight”.
