Quoting: keybored The cemeteries are the Gethsemane Cemetery on Gratiot Avenue near Conner in Detroit and the Knollwood Cemetery in Canton. Following the raid, LARA announced that Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton would be shut down, citing an "imminent threat to public health and safety." Officers looked at hundreds of sets of remains from both cemeteries, saying that there were 27 sets of infant and fetal remains that had improper or missing paperwork from Knollwood and 17 from Gethsemane. In October, officers found 36 fetuses in cardboard boxes and 27 more in freezers from inside Perry Funeral Home. The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs revoked the funeral home's license and shut down the facility. Earlier that month, police also discovered 11 infant bodies in the ceiling of Cantrell Funeral Home, also in Detroit. [link to www.wxyz.com (secure)] What evil where they up to there? This report seems to tie into earlier reports and lawsuits concerning a specific morgue/funeral home in Detroit - check out this piece from The Detroit Free Press: [link to www.freep.com (secure)] In a nutshell, Detroit Medical Center was apparently paying this morgue to bury/cremate stillborn fetuses, miscarried fetuses and babies that died shortly after death to the tune of $100 per disposal. The funeral home was collecting the money and then not actually properly disposing of the remains. Some of the remains found at the funeral home in question had been donated for the purposes of medical research, and the funeral home was supposed to be a middle-man between the hospital and a medical school. The funeral home was apparently billing Medicaid for funerals that were never performed. Essentially, they were simply collecting money to properly dispose of fetal/newborn remains and then not following through. IDK why in the world or how in the world they would think that could continue to collect dead fetuses and store them indefinitely without ever getting caught or having to answer for it, but it appears that they were simply trying to profit on people's tragedies. Pretty much some of the lowest behavior imaginable, but not the same as like abducting and killing infants for some nefarious purposes. |

Mark In NYC User ID: 76822367 United States 12/06/2018 09:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To treat the remains of these little innocent ones is an affront to GOD All Mighty. When Jesus said - "Suffer not the little children, let them come unto me” - if he felt that way about the living kids, what do you think he felt about their murdered or aborted remains? This place and whoever did this inadequate and wholly disrespectful job of disposing of these little bodies is guilty of the grosses kind of evil and sheer negligence. They will receive whatever punishment man may deem appropriate but I would not want to be in their shoes when they someday go before GOD with this kind of sin blackening their soul. I know our Lord will forgive them if they repent. But I don’t know if most of humanity can or will. Right now, while this is fresh in my mind, I feel that I could cheerfully pull the switch to loose a lethal injection into these bastards, or pull the lever that would drop the trap door allowing them to dangle on a hangman’s noose. (Forgive me Lord, my anger at them is all too human and will pass…) How much greater your wrath will be if they don’t seek forgiveness and repent for this sin? That is what they should be afraid of. VERY AFRAID OF. Life really is a banquet - and truly - most poor sucker are starving! Enjoy the ride baby. |

Very good question. The home's explanation kind of makes sense: "In the case of unclaimed remains, a funeral home cannot bury remains without proper authorization, and the law in Michigan sets forth a hierarchy for authority. Perry relied upon and operated within that hierarchy, but Perry never received the legal authority necessary to conduct a final disposition of the remains." |

I think the most reasonable explanation is they were saving some fetuses/babies to sell for medical research which were meant to be burned. Some of the remains had already been donated by their parents for medical research. In the link I read, the parents' baby had lived like 27 minutes and they donated the remains for medical research (which kinda blows my mind, because I can't imagine handing my dead infant's corpse over to be dissected by medical students). The hospital turned the baby over to the funeral home but the funeral home never handed custody of the remains to the medical school. This kind of explains why they are now finding remains in the local cemeteries. I would imagine that to be profitable and worth the legal risk, an operation like this would have to involve hundreds or thousands of infant/fetal corpses. They found dozens up to around a year or more old at the funeral home. It seems likely and logical that the funeral home would have to periodically be unloading batches of corpses, probably illegally burying them at metro cemeteries. When the corpses were found at the funeral home, someone surely squealed. I'm not condoning any of this, I'm just breaking down the facts that have been released. |
