I think what he did was great in this case.

The Gay Mafia wanted their typical attention. Didn't really want him to step down. They just wanted their "apology". Hes said it several times before.

But in this case he said I apologize again and have grown. Just like i have several times before. But sense some people just want to be outraged I'm not going to do the oscars anymore.

Frankly I think he Won this round and exposed these people for the authoritarians they are. He basically said I've apologized several times before and doing it again now. If that's not good enough fuck you.
