This pick for AG is a bit puzzling....

Barr is among the elite deep state operators... he was born & bred in the CIA and was part of GHWB's core team from the late 70's all the way through his term as POTUS.

Barr was center stage for BCCI, Iran/Contra, Panama, and a whole host of other dark ops.... (see link below)

At the same time, Barr is not afraid to be aggressive. He is adept and deeply experienced at navigating the swamp, he has been on the defensive side of a special counsel investigation, and he been outspoken in his opinions on Uranium One being a more important investigative focus than allegations of russian collusion.
