Most of you have not even started the race. You're not even a disciple. Jesus never said come as you are.
There are requirements when it comes to becoming a disciple. Most who claim to be Christian are ministers of Satan who are controlled by the prince of the power of the air. They have not even begun to start the race to win the prize. We have been commanded to not collect treasures or possessions for our heart lies where our treasure is. Either you worship God or Mammon. Greed is idolatry and the more possesions you have the more greedy you become. So, how many of you have a home full of stuff you have been commanded to sell? Below are multiple bible translations which say the flock of God must not own much. So, are you a disciple or not?

Edit Added: 1 John 3:17
But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Edit Added: Matthew 10:34-39
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Luke 12:32-34 King James Version (KJV)
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Luke 14:33 -

KJ21
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.

ASV
So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

AMP
So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not [carefully consider the cost and then for My sake] give up all his own possessions.

CEB
In the same way, none of you who are unwilling to give up all of your possessions can be my disciple.

CEV
So then, you cannot be my disciple unless you give away everything you own.

DLNT
So therefore, any of you who is not saying-goodbye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

ERV
“It is the same for each of you. You must leave everything you have to follow me. If not, you cannot be my follower.

EHV
So then, any one of you who does not say farewell to all his own possessions cannot be my disciple.

ISV
In the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions.

TPT
Likewise, unless you surrender all to me, giving up all you possess, you cannot be one of my disciples.

Edit Added: 1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

1 Corinthians 5:11 King James Version (KJV)
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Edit Added: Matthew 13:44-46
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Edit: I will just add more here since my first post was a bit confusing. I believe one cannot become a disciple unless they love God more than their family, count their lives as nothing, pick up their cross, and give alms to the poor of their own abundance. If we have this world's goods and see others in need, we would be getting poorer over time, not richer. The world is full of people in need but you are allowed to keep the things you need. There is a man in the Bible who sold half his possessions and Christ mentioned salvation coming upon his home. Then there is a widow within the scriptures who gave all she had left and Christ said she gave more than the others because she was poor instead of rich. Then there are those who claim to have the holy spirit who commit sins such as sexual immorality, greed, idolatry, slander, drunkenness, or swindling...these are to be shunned by the church. For many claim to have the holy spirit but they are ministers of Satan who claim to be ministers of God. Anti-Christ who disguise themselves as the followers of Christ. To be honest, one cannot truly follow Christ unless they have the holy spirit and one cannot attain the holy spirit unless they love God. For those led by the spirit are the children of God. For God seeks those who worship in spirit and truth. So make sure you are a child of God before claiming you are a child of God for all liars inherit the lake of fire and if they inherit the lake of fire they are not among those with the spirit who inherit the kingdom of God.

I am allowed to keep some things. Only the non-merciful would think such a thing. I can fit most of my possessions into two suitcases but some may think I am to have nothing at all.

Luke 16:9-15 New International Version (NIV)
9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

14 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15 He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Luke 12:15
Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

Matthew 19:21
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Revelation 3:18
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

Acts 2:45
They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Acts 4:32
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

Shouldn't happen.

Jesus was a Hebrew. Both Christians and Jews worship the same Father.

Jesus may have stated that He was sent to the children of Israel, but He taught the sames things to ALL people, as did his 12 Apostles. He told them to go "through all the world". AND His "2 commandments" of "love God" and "love one another" are actually a summation of the 10 Commandments the Father gave us.

Jesus denied NO ONE.

The "crumbs" / pagan woman.
The centurion.
The Samaritans.

And the Old Testament is filled with verses about gentiles.

Isaiah 2 42 49 54 60 61 62 66

"a light to the Gentiles"

Malachi 1:11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles and in every place incense shall be offered
unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Psalms 148

11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

Isaiah 52

6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold,
it is I.

10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Isaiah 42

1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 Thus saith God the LORD , he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Re: Most of you have not even started the race. You're not even a disciple. Jesus never said come as you are.
1 Timothy 6:8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

2 Corinthians 9:6-15 New International Version (NIV)
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”[a]

10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Nonsense?

WHY do you suppose the Old Testament is with the New Testament in the Bible?

The OT WAS scripture at the time of Jesus' ministry.

From Chuck Missler.

The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed.

The Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed.

It can also be stated as such...

The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed.

The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.

...meaning...

The forcoming of the New Testament IS concealed in the OT.

And what was prophecied about in the Old Testament IS revealed in the NT.

Jesus is not the Father Himself, nor is He equal to the Father. He went out of His way to declare the Father being "Supreme".

Jesus said He was SENT. Being "sent" requires someone having authority.

I have several posts in this topic. It goes far beyond just John 17.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

He was talking spiritually as he always did.

Your physical possessions mean nothing.

Giving them away means nothing. They still rust and become nothing.

Sell aka talk about the knowledge you've received off your Father, and preach the Gospel which is giving alms. SPIRITUALLY. With the Father's help provide for yourself bags of spiritual knowledge from the Father via REVELATION that are eternal, and thus don't wax old. A treasure of spiritual knowledge, knowledge of God, akak Heavens, that being the absolute truth cannot fail. No thief can approach since 1. They could see it to steal in the first place, neither can they because it is unseen and of God. So is your heart on Earthly things or are they on the rewards of the Father, which are spiritual revelations.

How did you post this if you haven't given up your internet/computer/smart phone?

I am allowed to keep some things.
 Quoting: Issac

If you want to keep those verses that are written to the Jews and not the Church then you have to give ALL:

"So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."

"And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him."
 Quoting: javierruizleon

Can you give us a list please of verses that I can rip from my Bible since I am Christian and not Jew?
 Quoting: Jack the Hun

I can.

I borrow my friends stuff to post.

Let Isaac keep what he has.

you really should not pick scripture to suit what YOU want to say. It's really a shame you are not more mature in your faith

maybe he knew something you (we don't)?

any kid whose parent is bringing him into this world seconds away before the apocalypse begins for their own selfish reasons (cause they want a kid! me me me i want!) might have reason to hate their parent. instead of seeing the signs that there is something very seriously wrong with his world all they care about is me! i want! they care more about this than they do the kind of world they are bringing children into. this would be a reason to hate somebody. like for real. don't you think?
