Looking at that chart... the great depression was SOOO much worse then 2008. The DOW went from 5,500 to 800, an 85% crash (basically what happened to crypto) and took 26 years to recover back to the precrash height.
2007/2008 crash went from 16,800 to 8,400 a 50% crash and took 4 years to recover to its precrash height and 10 years to go 50% higher then its precrash height.
