Anybody work in the Army Corps of Engineers?
I was curious if there is anyone on here that ever worked for the Corps? My question is in regards to construction of dams and hydro projects in the PNW and what kind of seismic stress parameters were used. What sort of EQ magnitudes were considered as possibilities when the dam work was being done?

We all know that the PNW gets a 9+ every 300 years or so based on Tsunami records from the far east spanning many centuries, and evidence of massive tsunamis that spread debris nearly 300 feet up over the sea level along the Coastal areas based upon the stratification of debris left behind at specific intervals.

We are overdue for another one by a stretch, and I wonder if when we get one, if it is onshore, what kind of stresses those structures could really handle?

A think a few people do, yeah.
