The French are paying like 7 dollars for a gallon of gas half of that is in taxes, he put another tax on that, where the money would be sent to the third world because that’s how you magically cool the earth. He is also shutting down a large number of Nuke plants which doesn’t even release CO2 into the atmosphere and which the French depend on for energy. Also a large underlying reason is the immigrants he keeps bringing in to replace the real France.
