Don't know where that will takes us, but I can see the hate for her is so zooming in. What choice do I have but to be myself? Everyone else was already taken. (pg. 71)-UK Government on verge of collapse Laura Hughes Quoting: NewGeneration2019 @Laura_K_Hughes Jeremy Corbyn is pressed by the SNP to call a vote of no confidence in the government. He responds: "We have no confidence in this government. We need to do the appropriate thing at the appropriate time to have a motion of no confidence in order to get rid of this Government." [link to twitter.com (secure)] Corbyn: If no vote on deal, PM must go Jeremy Corbyn says that if the PM comes back from Europe with "nothing more than warm words" she must put the deal to MPs for a vote. "No more delays, no more tricks, let Parliament take control," he says. "If not, then she must go...we cannot allow this shambles to endure." Let Parliament have a say on "this shabby deal", he tells ministers. This government has lost the ability to lead, to negotiate and to speak for this Parliament, he says. (pg. 71)-UK Government on verge of collapse UK Prime Minister Theresa May will face a vote of confidence in her leadership later on Wednesday. Speaking outside 10 Downing Street, Mrs May said: "I will contest that vote with everything I have got." She said a new prime minister would have to scrap or extend Article 50, the mechanism taking Britain out of the EU on 29 March, "delaying or even stopping Brexit". Conservative MPs will vote from 18:00 GMT to 20:00 GMT. A result is expected fairly quickly after the voting finishes. The BBC's Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg said a delay to Brexit was "a vital part of the case the prime minister's supporters will be making" as she faces the confidence vote. Mrs May said changing Conservative leader would "put our country's future at risk and create uncertainty when we can least afford it". It's been going up during the morning + afternoon, and presumably that's a good indicator that May will win the vote. However, now it's just starting to drop a little.
