I can see something crazy happening, she's put the vote back to Jan 25th, knowing there won't be enough time to elect another leader before March 29th, she's a cunning conniving bitch.

If on Jan 25th we can't reach agreement in the house, then I could see her tampering with article 50.

There's a bigger scenario playing out here, the EU have accepted the electronic border in Ireland for the last

20yrs, yet refuse to accept the same border when we pull out, insisting on a hard border, hence the backstop.

This as people know will tie us in the EU for God knows
how long, or until the EU relinquishes it's grip, and

Theresa May wants us to trust them on this matter that's
why she's over there, I for one don't trust them, and

this is what is leading me to thinking there is something
bigger, and I can't get my head around it.

Yes MySoul, I could accept what you say, but I'm thinking something big, something like the EU having total control over Ireland, similar to what they did to Greece.

See how they have Greece bending over backwards, the EU run that country now. Once the EU have Ireland, next will be Gibraltar.

Breaking:

Theresa May has said it is still possible to get the assurances MPs need to back her Brexit deal, despite EU leaders ruling out any renegotiation.

At a summit in Brussels, the UK PM said there was "work to do" but talks on "further clarification" would continue.

The lies just flow out of her mouth so freely, it's hard to pick out a word of truth, it doesn't matter what she says, the backstop still stays, therefore roping us further in, and we can't have the EU dictating to us.

Theresa May said the backstop would only be temporary, but that's wrong, in order for the backstop to cease is to get the other 27 nations to agree, Spain has already said it'll object.

I read an article the other day that if Theresa May signs us into this, then the EU could keep the backstop in place until 2099 if they wanted, they'll just tell us all 27 member states can't agree, and with us not having a vote anymore we'd be kept in limbo.

The latest bien pensant wisdom from the Westminster Wonderland, currently gaining traction: Mrs May should reach out to Labour Remainers to clinch a Commons majority for some sort of Brexit lite.

So, article 50 to be extended followed by another two years of negotiations then, Theresa?

argument by Amber Rudd(cabinet minister) that PM should abandon party politics in search for way through Brexit impasse and work with parliament to find solution. The beginning of a coup by ministers to take control of Brexit process from PM?

But the flaw in Amber Rudd’s argument is that the cabinet cannot even agree among themselves about best way forward for Brexit. She says no way to no-deal Brexit. As this from @TheSun shows [link to pbs.twimg.com (secure)] ,perhaps a third of her cabinet colleagues want no-deal embraced not spurned

So on biggest question for UK of our age we have a PM whose plan cannot get through parliament, and both Cabinet and MPs intractably divided on best way forward - with three months left before we would tumble out. If this isn’t a constitutional crisis, what would one look like?

This is what we were told by the leader of our country when casting our vote. Now our Remain Parliament wants to take back control from the people because we "got it wrong". Remember MPs, you work for us!

Re: UPDATES: UK govt loses third vote on rotten Brexit deal, motion of no confidence looming? (pg. 71)-UK Government on verge of collapse
Jeremy Corbyn’s top team split on when to table motion of confidence to topple Theresa May

A row has erupted among Jeremy Corbyn’s top team over when the party should push for a vote of no confidence in Theresa May’s government, The Independent has learnt.

The dispute has seen key figures in the shadow cabinet demanding that the party strike sooner rather than later in order to remove the prime minister from office after she was weakened by an attempt by Tory MPs to oust her.

But Mr Corbyn and his allies are refusing to allow the offensive to go ahead until there is a good chance it will be successful, and are likely to block any attempt to move until Ms May has held her meaningful vote on her Brexit deal. They believe the Tory Brexiteers and the DUP are not yet ready to vote with the opposition parties to topple the government.

Labour sources would not rule out tabling a no-confidence motion this week, after Ms May addresses the Commons on the latest Brexit negotiations, but the party is understood to be more likely to strike once Ms May brings her deal back to the Commons in January.

One source said: “We’re taking it on a day-by-day basis, but January is the most likely.

“It partly depends what happens on Monday, though. If the Tories and DUP tear strips off her than that could be the time for us to move.”

I said in another thread, lets say we have a second

referendum, and REMAIN win, do we have a 3rd referendum

because surely that'll be one apiece, and a 3rd will be

needed to verify a winner.

Now the second thing I said was, if LEAVE win would Mrs May

continue trying to make this deal, even though we won twice

I honestly think she would continue with her deal. what

say you?

Well there's a lot that could happen before it reaches that point, namely the confidence motion of Parliament which could topple the government, followed by a General Election.

May has always said that she would never allow another remain/leave referendum. She's made many pledges in the past only to go back on her word, but I really don't think she would be able to cling on as PM this time if she did it again.

What I can see, however, is she offers a public vote on which type of Brexit we want, i.e. her deal "brexit" or a no deal brexit... which you could argue is just another remain/leave referendum but just packaged differently, but could just about be enough to let her keep her position as PM.

Hopefully her deal doesn't win if it goes to a public vote because it would then be ratified quite easily in parliament IMO.

MPs will vote on the UK's Brexit deal in the week beginning 14 January, Theresa May has told Parliament.

The vote was due to be held last week but was put on hold after Theresa May admitted she was set to lose.

Announcing a new date, Mrs May said the EU had made it clear the Irish backstop was "not a plot to trap the UK" and urged MPs to see Brexit through.

But Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said he would table a motion of no confidence in the PM for delaying the vote.

Am told Labour chief whip Nick Brown told PLP if the government doesn’t grant time for Jeremy Corbyn’s no confidence motion in Theresa May then Labour will escalate: no confidence motion in government as a whole under Fixed Term Parliaments Act. That has to be granted time

Theresa May is planning to hold a series of votes in Parliament to find out what kind of Brexit MPs will support, sources have told the BBC.

... sources say she wants the votes planned for the third week of January based on her Brexit deal to be a "moment of reckoning".

It comes as the cabinet announced it was stepping up preparations in case there is a no-deal Brexit on 29 March.

This really is beyond a joke isn't it?

The reason why we had a referendum is because the vast majority of the MPs want something entirely different, they want BINO (Brexit in name only) also known as remain.
