One horse town with mild winters. Private well. at least 5 acres. better if you have no city services. Plan on homesteading and being 100% self-sufficient to keep out of the beast system. Marketable skills like plumbing are good for barter. So are chickens and fresh produce that can be grown year round with aquaponics. Use geothermal for climate control. Right now I'd be looking at Florida and Texas.
