OMG! I thought I was the only one. I can't buy a old style gas can anymore. Fookin democrats!

I use old milk jugs and a funnel.Poke a hole in the cap of the milk jug for ventilation.

milk jugs are horrible for storing fuel.. I guess not so much diesel/home heating oil, but with straight gas the vaporization pressure is too much for the lid of a milk jug to safely hold.

One gallon bleach containers are much stronger

same with washing detergent bottles

get the bigger ones

seriously, who the fuck though it would be a good idea to hinder pouring fuel into.. anything? LIKE WHAT THE FUCK.

lets use shitty plastic Chinese shit to regulate fuel flow out of a gas can. that way, people can safely spill fuel all over the fucking place when they fail.

My gas "can" is made of plastic, bought it over 30 years ago. There aren't any springs or anything. It's illegal now?

The jug of tide detergent I have which gets thrown away when it's empty never leaks... it has a button that makes the shit come out.

But I spend 40 bucks on a goddamned "safety" can and on the first use I have now covered my lawnmower and boots in a healthy dose of flammable liquid.

The liberal communists in charge of this shit never touch a gas can.

In New Jersey you have to call a Hazmat nerd to pour gas in your mower for you.

I ended up buying one of these and hanging it on the wall in my garage, it's the shit. A bit of a bear to get up there when full with 14 gallons but it lasts quite a long time.

yea but now I have plastic fragments and a spring at the bottom of my fucking oil tank. the little 1/3 inch lip that s supposed to hold all the weight of the can slipped off the rim of the fill hole of the tank, and the spring had enough tension to shoot the whole fucking assembly right into the fucking tank.


pieces are probably too big to clog anything, but, motherfucking CUNT.

then you lose octane over time as it evaporates, and the area around the milk jug will have enough vapors to light if there is spark. not safe at all.

I had that happen about 10 years ago on a snowmobile when they first started making those shit cans, I never had a problem with it.

You can buy regular plastic spouts at hardware stores now. About 10 bucks. Take the crap off your can and replace with these. They work great.

Anyone ever try to fill 5 gallons of gas in their car with these damn things. Not fun. I bought 8 EZ-POUR Replacement Spout Kit for my 7 5 gallon tanks along with my smaller tanks. Problem solved.

There is a fix on YouTube - using black hose two feet long - extend your spout - less gas wasted - less spills

I honestly think their "improved" design is some type of conspiracy...just has to be.
They suck that much.
