Not really a good thing imo.

He is free to do as he wishes but i can think of a whole lotta good that could be done with money like that.

I rent a ground floor apartment in a big three story building but it is all one house type of building. If i had that money i would buy it and turn it into a Christian Orphanage cos i am sick of seeing kids here abused & dumped by their parents cos they are girls or disabled or some bs financial burden - I will do it somehow on my meager pension one day and hopefully my daughter will carry it on hf

Most of the people complaning about the Pastor, are forgetting a few verses. Learn to mind your own business and produce good fruit. Do not dwell on the sins of others, for dwelling does not bring the kingdom of heaven. PRAY for your Pastor!

Proverbs 26:17
Whoever meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a passing dog by the ears

Luke 6:42
How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.

Galatians 6:5
For each will have to bear his own load.

Luke 6:37
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven

Re: Pastor John Gray defends $200K Lamborghini
I voted no.

Why?

Because it was purchased using the donations of people to the church. People give those donations to be spent for the benefit of those who need help.

I do not expect pastors to live in poverty, but a lambo is over the top. He helps run a megachurch -- that is a lot of work and responsibility. What would have been so wrong with a nice luxury SUV, or if he had to have a sports car, may a corvette or something a little less in your face to parishoners than a lambo??

Seriously, I can afford a lambo, if I wanted one, but what a stupid, new/borrowed money attitude waste. It's why so many new money types, end up no money eventually -- stupid choices. You will rarely see old money in a lambo, unless they just rented the damn thing for fun.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

But the bible tells us it is wrong. So how can a pastor do it yet preach the Bible at the same time? The poor have more chance of eternal life than those that take pleasure in money and earthly things, as all Christians already know, but few put into practice. Some people don't make money because they are not the kind of people to sacrifice their lives in the way making money requires with meaningless careers. That does not always mean they are lazy, maybe they are closer to God. I live in a little house in the woods these days and grow my own food. I am poor. But far from perfect. And work much harder than most in careers. If you have money, give it to those that do not,( I don't require anyone's money, I get my daily bread so am ok.). Otherwise, are you really a Christian? The Bible says maybe not so much.
Don't take pride in having money. Don't brag about it. No true Christian ever would. I drive a 50cc vespa. That's a donkey in this world and I get insulted for it by many. I do many things a Christian should not, but when it comes to money and earthly things....that's the easy bit for me....not for others. As Christians we should all point out each others failings without offence being taken ( bear in mind the verses in the book of Revelation about people taking offence at everything in the last days). You have pointed out many of mine in the past as you seem to do with many GLP'ers. Now its my turn. xxx Keep searching the truth. We are all in this together. We all fail in some respects. Love as always. xx

Lol,

I think he would drive an old bus or something big enough to take people on board outa the cold etc but yeah, nothing flashy, just something humble and fit for purpose hf

I have met a few Pastors here, one American guy with his family running a Church. They have a nice home and car although i don't begrudge anyone some luxury when you have moved to a 3rd world country with your kids.
Another is a Nepali guy and owner of my daughters Montessori. Both seem reasonably well off tbh.

Re: Pastor John Gray defends $200K Lamborghini
I have a problem with ‘pastors.’ I’ve seen pastors, belonging to a motorcycle organization turn up each year with a new bagger. I lived beside a pastor recently, who was a piece of shit, and do believe that the stress from that caused my cancer to recur. This jerk was over in India, living the life of royalty with servants changing their bedding, made meals, etc. all nearly free of any living costs. Decides to return to Canada with his wife after adopting a couple of ‘diverse’ kids…and moving in with his widowed mother – next door. She already had a single son living there so the front of our house looks like a parking lot. Sometimes parking illegally on the wrong side of the street, which really triggered me. They were always there for meals but they never helped clean up. The widow also had a married daughter with two babies and the son-in-law was always bbqing for everyone. This went on for a year until the widow got fed up with all the cooking and no help with yard work – so she put her house up for sale. I happened to find an ad for sale that belonged to the pastor, and discovered he had bought the house and was advertising a garage sale, accordingly. Me and Hubby were really disgusted as we had just bought out ‘retirement home’ with the knowledge that both side neighbours were retired/quiet as well.

Both the pastor and his wife had vehicles, one with Flow-master exhaust and they would idle in their driveway which was close to our bedroom window – for lengthy periods, even in summer. Thankfully, the jerk was quite apt at buying used vehicles at auction, driving them for a bit and then flipping for a better model. Meanwhile we did a property search and he didn’t buy anything, his in-laws did! They were interesting, especially the mother who was associated with a orphanage charity over in India, thus able to drive a beautiful Toyota Infinity SUV and her husband a Tesla.

The pastor tried to be friends with us but we can’t fake our feelings and our zero tolerance for bullshit. Guess he didn’t like being snubbed and his emotional maturity of a 15 year old broke out. Immediately started throwing his kitchen garbage out beside his back patio which faced our bedroom window. One morning there was a flock of two dozen crows…having breakfast with garbage. Yes, Alfred Hitchcock bad! It was reported to the city and I was informed that a $300 fine was issued. That’s when the harassment started!

Meanwhile his hair and beard were always professionally groomed, wife had the acrylic nails, jewelry, etc. The property slowly deteriorated…while he’s making 2 -3 trips BACK to India, staying free with his flock AND motorcycle trips too! I totally changed my opinion of all organized religion! We received a Christmas card from the in-laws by mistake – they have a ‘vila’ in Florida, along with a beautiful big home in town! Religion pays! Charity pays! Orphanages…pays?!

He has immature tastes. Id be paranoid driving that thing around for it to get scratched and people posing on it, asking for rides and taking pictures

Id put it all into a beautiful home, like a cliffside glass house. But not even with Pastor money, thats just tacky when youre supposed to set an example

Ohhhh... all the pastors and other Christian evangelists do set an example... Sell your soul to Lucifer or Satan and you'll become unfathomably rich, and life will be permanently stuck on Casual Difficulty.

"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.

- Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as internationalists and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure; one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller

"The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries... We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis, and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David Rockefeller

In reality, we're all debt slaves.
