NOFAKE User ID: 77191696 Germany 12/18/2018 07:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If I count I guess I have helped about 25 people and I wished I could do so much more. I am glad to been able to help and contribute a little bit though to making Christmas at least a little bit more special for anyone I could. Quoting: InterMezzo For this year, I am sorry to say that my gift cart is empty. But I promise that next year I will return with this and continue the tradition. You know, all those beautiful reactions, the emails and words on here are very heart warming and it gives me even more belief that there is so much beauty in this world. If we only open our eyes and ears for what is going on around us. Like I said, giving is not about money. Yes, it helps and is very rewarding when you see what a difference it makes in people's lifes and hearts. But you know, words, gestures, hugs and showing love is maybe even more rewarding and encouraging. We should all make a promise that from today onward, we make that phone call, give that tap on the shoulder, tell someone that you love them out of the blue and that you are there for them, not only at Christmas, but whenever they need a voice or an ear. THAT really makes a difference and can give just that push that is needed to boost someone's confidence and belief in themselves and others. You are truly all beautiful and through that we all grow. Merry Christmas everyone! Love to all. If I count I guess I have helped about 25 people and I wished I could do so much more. Otherwise, I'll keep bumping ya Thank you for bumping the thread Sol-tari, but for this year I am finished with this. I still am on a high from all the beautiful responses and the effect it had on people and I was so glad to help as much as I could. I know, I said it before, I wished I could help everyone, but that would require a sponsor like Billy Gates or something and I doubt if that even then it would be enough. I was MY pleasure to be able to do this and I for sure will be back with this thread next year. I am sorry if I missed anyone, because you are just as special and deserve every bit of relief and happiness as well. Keep holding on to the firm belief that, despite all the dark days, there will be light again. Just never give up and don't be afraid to reach out, whether it be here or in your own environment. And let us not forget: thank you Javierruiz and Kamkatcha for contributing as well. You are both beautiful people. See you all next year! Merry Christmas! *Vaporizes* |

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Thank you both, along with another anonymous sender. I was able to buy a lot of 10 new name brand shirts on eBay for the child. A little background... Recently we discovered the kid has been bullied for the clothes he wears, because they didn't have name brand logos on them. The other kids have been picking on him and calling him poor. This has been affecting his self esteem and causing him to close off everyone and perform poorly in school. Your donations have real life impacts on the happiness and mental well being of a child. Thank you again, my gratitude cannot be expressed enough. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16990338 Canada 12/18/2018 09:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last year we had a Christmas Giveaway Thread here, started by St3v3 and followed by others like Javierruiz, Zalinsky, Cosmicgypsy, Truthserum and forgive me if I missed anyone else, who made Christmas a little better for those in need through this thread: Quoting: InterMezzo Thread: $250 Dollar Amazon Gift Card For Someone in Need for Christmas. I would like to follow up on that tradition this year and have saved up $500 throughout the year to give to those who can use it most. Our society is getting tougher, colder, more individual. No doubt about that. More and more people struggle to put food on the table, not only at Christmas, but day after day. Let alone them being able to buy their kids and loved ones the tiniest gift for their birthday or with holidays like these. On the other hand we have entered an era, where a lot of people rather focus on their smart phone than to keep an open eye for those in need. I do not believe in a religious kind of way, but I do believe in people and in good outdoing the bad. To those that struggle, I want to say: "Do not give up! In our weakest moments we find strength and belief, in ourselves and those around us. Don't be afraid to reach out. Trust me, I've been there myself and it is only through strength, belief and reaching out that I am now able to pay if forward. If I can do it, you can do it too. You are beautiful, you are strong, you are no quitter." Of course, there will be voices that say that this gesture will be abused, that people should crawl out the hole that they dug, that everyone makes their own bed. To you I want to say that your words have no place or meaning here. This is a thread about giving and caring, not about doubt or blame. And to those that want to give, but are not able to do that financially. Know that the power of giving is not financial driven. It is driven by the heart. Lending someone an ear, show encouragement through words or giving a heartfelt hug or a tap on the shoulder, already can work miracles and be the trigger to give people that boost of confidence they need. If together we can do that within the circle of our own influence, we already made our world a bit warmer. And give hope that it will spread like an ink spot. Okay, enough talk. Sorry, the curse of writing. I would like to spread the amount to as many people as possible. Through PayPal preferably. But I also have an Amazon premium membership, so if you for example create a wish list there with some presents for your kids or loved ones, that would work too. Try to keep it at a maximum of €50. Anyway, feel free to post here, send me a pm or email me at [email protected] with your paypal or wish list and I will see what I can do in the coming few days. I can't be around 24/7, because of work, but I will make sure you will get it in time. Merry Christmas to everyone. You are all beautiful. edit: adjusted emailaddy. prayers from the heart |

Simple27 User ID: 40488826 United States 12/23/2018 04:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A toy for my 6 1/2 year old daughter would be cool. Quoting: BleachedPink1111 Or some help with cat food or rabbit food, lol. My email address is in my profile and it's my paypal email. We lost our second vehicle last month, so on top of my usual 2 hours a day commute in the car, I have added another 3 hours a day in the car to drive the hubby to and from work, etc. I put over 30,000 miles a year on my car, which has almost 300,000 miles on it. I am in desperate need of a rear alignment. I can't really go over 65mph at the moment since the car shakes too much. I've needed this alignment for nearly a year now, and I go through used tires every 6 months or so. It's also been having a slow anti-freeze leak for the past 6 months, and recently it has gotten worse and we dump a bunch of coolant in it now, and by the end of the day it's (my dashboard computer) telling me I need more coolant. We just haven't had enough money to get it fixed yet. We definitely don't have enough money for much food. Barely enough to scrape by. I think the next time I have a day off next weekend, I'm going to make my chicken noodle soup recipe which feeds us for almost a whole week for $15 I have a friend who's cat had 2 litters in a row (I encouraged her to get her cat spayed and gave her some resources and luckily she got it spayed this past month, lol) so I ended up adopting 3 cats a few months ago, now I have a total of 4. And I"m going through kitty litter and cat food like crazy. I didn't want this many cats, but now i have them. i'm sure there are other people out there that need more help than me, but maybe a little help over here? I have an Amazon prime account, and I also have a Chewy account (for pet food delivery). My email is [email protected] And I have a website of you want to check out what I do, or even commission some art. Sometimes it's feast or famine, and the holidays are always a tricky time for me. Thank you for your lovely offer, even if you don't choose me and decide to help some others. Www.artistic-wall-designs.com You do amazing work!!! Very beautiful! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Nowadays I'm still poor but I use it as a joke telling people I'm too poor to give them money...:D I tell myself I'm too poor to do a lot of things. I'm too poor to buy a funstation 5 when it comes out I'ma getting one when I can buy it refurbished. I have twice as many funstation 3 games as funstation 4 games because they're cheaper. Being poor builds a frugal mindset. Now my being poor is a joke among my friends... NowIhavetothinkofanameohnoithurts It's all bull!
