Why have the Spiritual Gifts/Charismatic Gifts of the Christian Church ceased?

Don' have 18 mins to watch the video, but will argue, the gifts are still here.

You hear nothing out loud from people with them, because the evangelicals scream "SATANIC!!!!", When you point out the scriptures, they scream 'SATANIC!!!". So where are these people? They have become Christian Mystics, or have become Christian New Agers.

I am a Christian Mystic with gifts. Many more like me. We believe in Christ, The Son of God, and try our best to follow His teachings, but avoid the holy steamrollers.

gifts are human, not only Christian, church was assembly of spiritual lead when Paul was around and encoureged development of receiving the gifts, soon after Paul official church was taken over by people lacking spiritual understanding 'political' churchmen who seek letter not spirit.

The gifts, for the most part, have vanished. They existed in abundance in the early Christian church and shortly faded away. While small manifestations are seen here and there, it is nothing like what used to be seen. The question is, why?

And while I do not agree with everything Evangelicals may say, this is very important:

Isaiah 8:20  To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Anyone claiming to do miracles better be worth their salt, or else they fall under the condemnation as false miracle workers, regardless of who it is.

Your premise is flawed, OP.

Jesus said that his followers would do greater works than even he. OT prophets also foretold of a time when people would have prophetic dreams and vision. This time spoken of by the OP prophets is the age of God's kingdom on Earth, which is now and has been for the past 2000 years.

If you can't discern any gifts in the Christians you know, then it's because they're not Christians.

A true Christian is born-again. There is no other true kind. Being born-again, they have God's spirit with them. God's spirit is a spirit of truth and revelation. This is one great gift that all born-agains have.

If you're looking for people who can do parlor tricks, that's not a sign of a Christian but more likely a sign of demonic oppression or demonic spirits working through someone.

Real Christians are still performing miracles through God's spirit. They're just not advertising it or charging for it.

What gifts?

I would argue my "gifts" are hardly miracles. I do not know of anyone with gifts that rise to the level of miracles. It is more like we have areas of our brains activated that others, either do not, or chose to ignore.

Discernment -- I can sense levels of evil and/or good on people.

Am aware when spirits are near me and whether they are sourced from God or darkness. Can command those of darkness to depart in the name of Christ, and they do -- sometimes they put up a fight, but they go.

Prophetic dreams. These dreams are not of earth shattering things, but usually mundane things. Only exception was 11 Sep -- I knew something really bad was going to happen that day. Did not know what, or where.

Very minor energetic healing. Can lay on hands to relieve pain, ease sprains, speed healing of cuts/abrasions and such. No curing cancer or raising the dead -- I am NOT Christ, only a simple conduit.

The gifts have not gone away. It doesn't take much to verify this fact - you HAVE TO HAVE THE FAITH. However, the "gifts" of Benny Hinn (and his ilk) are a sad, for lack of a better word, counterfeit.

There is no denying that what Joel prophesied, the beginning of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, began with the Apostles. But to deny that the gifts have, for the most part, vanished, is to deny what the Apostle Paul has written about the falling away from the truth directly after his departing (his death). The apostasy started then, and the eventual rejection of the law of God brought darkness upon the Christian Church.

To say that the Holy Spirit has come down with all the power former, and even greater than the Apostles day today, is to deny reality. You would KNOW. And there would be an abundance of counter-miracles as well, real miracles, but done by demons. This spiritual warfare is about to become more open.

It's not about looking for people who "do parlor tricks," it's about why the Christian Church today has, for the most part, failed at doing what was clearly witnessed by the early believers. And, if the miracles were being performed like the Apostles day, it would be "noised abroad" like in the Apostles day.

A rejection of the law of God, for some, is due to a lack of faith.

There are supposedly folks who are doing minor miracles / healings. Nothing on the scale of what Jesus did for sure though.

And there are the charlatans too of course.

I am convinced though that prayers have preceded thousands of miracles etc...and that both the Father and His Son have continued to be active on earth over the last 1900+ years.

You have to work for it, just like everyone has for thousands of years. The gifts are still there, they are eternal, but there are no freebies. Do the work, claim the gifts. Problem is these days, who has the time, the will, or even knows how to do it? McChristianity is debased to happy thoughts, mechanical dogma, and social aspects, if it has any presence at all. And, this civilization, and by extension organized religion, DOES NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE THESE GIFTS. It makes their control systems more complicated. The knowledge of the gifts are hoarded by the secret societies and used for selfish and evil purposes.

You need to get out more...there are things happening in the church that OBVIOUSLY you have NO CLUE about!!!

OP, I think for the most part that Churches are not so much spiritual but more of a social club for many people. Also, Yeshua said when the disciples couldn't cast out a demon that "this kind comes out only through fasting and prayer".

Very few people fast anymore. I include myself in that, but am committed to changing that.

I do think going with traditions/dogma of organized religion squashes the Spirit of Yah from moving among the people.

But I have seen a couple of miracles due to heartfelt prayer. Even when I wasn't yet aware of the need to follow the Instructions as given. Because He is so merciful and loving...

I too have known miracles to happen with heartfelt prayer. However, this is few and far between, and not anywhere near as abundant as that which is seen with the early Apostles. There is a reason for this.

Because the Catholic Church is not with the Spirit of God, and the Law of the Sun is the Law of God which mean the truth of God and Jesus teachings had been distorted. Also known as evil fruits.

B: He says although it is astrological and allegorical, this quatrain refers to the development of Christianity. It shows how Christianity lost its spirit. He says people's minds and intentions did not agree with what the Catholic church allowed to be printed in the Bible. And people's spirit and emotions were not comfortable with the church. But they still followed it with the mind because that is what their perants had done. The teachings as presented in the Bible were followed on the surface but without true conviction behind them. He says as a result, the structure of the church will be like a building with dry rot in the time of troubles. It will appear to be sound and complete, but it will actually be about to crumble into dust. He says the Catholic church won't be the only one crumbling at that time. It seems the vibrations are altered in a way that is not good, and they grow out of control. The way in which they develop is not in keeping with the spirit of God.
D: Are you talking about the counterbalance of energy? One group of positive people against negative group?
B: He says he's not speaking of balance of forces here, for unfortunately one of the contributing factors to the time of troubles is the balance being altered temporarily where the so-called "evil" forces seem to have the upper hand. But the forces will swing back the other way and things will balance again after the time of troubles. He says at this time the balance is tilted so it is very easy for negative influences to flourish. With the balance leaning somewhat in their favour, they are able to flourish with the appearance of good. This is what is meant in the Scriptures as knowing them by the fruits of their tree.

I have extra single one of those too LJS... it is from God.

It's a blessing and a curse these gifts.

I've helped heal many people. Physically and mentally. Been told I have the healing touch. Discernment... too much for comfort nowadays.

I do believe the gifts are still there I just think people A: Are too hardened in their minds and hearts B: They don't believe and don't want to. and C: They haven't prayed or asked.

People, well, the average modern person, doesn't care about spirituality. and DEFINITELY NOT JESUS. Witchcraft is the go to for most. It's really sad.
