I have experienced many of the things you have mentioned, the dark shadows in the bedroom at night, etc.. When she had an affair (during our 7th year of marriage), she made me look like the bad person... The marriage counselor blamed me for everything!!

You are probably right! I have stuck it out for several reasons,
1) the kids were really small when I caught her cheating the first time (she was threatening to leave and move to another state 1,000 miles away, to be with a guy who was 26 years older than her (she was 28, he was 54) I did not want another man raising my kids (my state always favors women in custody matters, no matter what their state of competence),

2) We worked to restore marriage, but after last child born 16 years ago, she has progressively gotten worse (really took a turn for worse, especially since last year after her parents were killed 8 years ago).

3) I was raised by parents who don't believe in divorce, no matter the situation..

I have learned a lot more about her condition since being made aware of what she may be suffering from.... In reality, people married to people with Borderline PD are no more likely to divorce than people in "normal" marriages... This stat really surprised me..

I may have a better reason to divorce her (since infidelity is not considered a crime anymore, in-fact, it's encouraged!!).... I think she is hiding money from the family, she is exercising at a fitness studio 1-2 x a day (we already have a membership at the ymca) It appears that she could be spending between 250-500 per week at this other studio (lessons run around $35/session)... There is no excuse for this!! I am going to have to hire an investigator...
