I just skim read all of the comments here and it's a wonder any of you ever procreate. My above comment is your best bet, put yourself in a situation where you and her are the only two in attention (don't go to a nightclub, it's too loud). Then see if you can enjoy yourselves.

If you ask her out and she doesn't want to go, it's her loss. At least you tried. Better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all.
