Fired weapons all my life, big ones and small ones. First time using a bump stock and echo trigger devices, wanted to throw the weapon away. No control or use at all. Can shoot accurate and almost as fast without the need of my weapon losing control. Sorry but this isn't a big deal to me. Looking for that concealed carry nationwide at some point.

Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) is opposing President Donald Trump’s inclusion Gun Confiscation Orders (sugar-coated as “red-flag laws”) in his Commission on School Safety Report.
This report was announced on the same day that President Trump’s Department of Justice formalized its move to regulate and ban bump stocks, a regulation that could be used to ban commonly-owned rifles, like the AR-15.
GOA’s executive director, Erich Pratt responded, “Sadly, the President is continuing with his ‘take the guns first, due process later’ rhetoric. The Gun Confiscation Orders are a method to confiscate one’s guns -- without due process.
 Quoting: 54321...!

Have to break the news to you. Bump stocks are not a firearm of any type what so ever. Nothing more than a after market add on and is not a manufacturer option of the original rifle.

You must be one of those that is so ignorant of firearm operation that you do not know know to manipulate a semi-automatic rifle trigger to induce rapid fire.
Better yet a box of rubber bans at the dollar store will achieve the exact same effect as a bump stock.

I haver several semi-automatic rifles and not one of them I would use a bump stock on. Why? Because there is this thing called ((((Rifle recoil)))). All a bump stock is good for is making YouTube videos and showing off.

Ok then what ((((Firearms))))) are being disallowed? Exactly! None! Bump stocks are not a firearm..........period!
You're still free to manipulate the damn trigger with your finger. That is if you are so unskilled at the use of your own firearm that you have no idea how to do it.

If you are too lazy to learn how to manipulate the trigger to gain rapid fire, you can always go to the dollar store and buy a box of rubber bans. Achieves the exact same effect as a high priced after market bump stock.

You really have to wonder the motivation of those who spend so much energy defending the prohibition, and theft of a piece of plastic they themselves admit is worthless.

The Government wants to ban it so bad they will call it a "machine gun".

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The 2nd says nothing of disallowing. "shall not be infringed"

Infringe: act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on.

Not allowing your plastic part "limits" the arm to be kept or beared.

Re: Trump’s Christmas Present: Coal for Gun Owners
Bump stocks are not needed, so for a long time there was not bump stocks on rifles so, why do you need them. Nor would Gatling guns need to be owned.

I would rather own a bazooka, it you want to blow a tree down without sawing it easy to do. Shoot the top out first and then mid section then the lower part all nice an tidy. So, it one use most do not think of, me, I like to do it better than a saw. I am not treating a person, no, it these tall oaks that have limbs falling around here. Very tall only they do not live as long as post oaks or white or red oak, no these are water oaks.

Now forget a little compromise with something not needed, as the bump stock.

It not giving up a right nor gun rights to be a little sensible. If it ever needed during a war, make it yourself at the time, now it not needed. During a war it all men for themselves mostly, I talking about the chance and there is always chance of Aliens attacking us on the home front then it Katy bar the door, get the gun with the stock bump I just made, before the Alien get here.
 Quoting: hankie

Idjut...you do not get it. It has to do with an opening in acceptable law to take away accessories to firearms. The next accessory (as in NJ) is a mag more than 10. The next one after that will be an unregistered to fire this month, firing pin. Give a fraction of an inch in this matter and you lost the whole 2nd as Trump happily gave away. Obama cost me tens of thousands but he never took my ability to own a gun related item.

In retrospect, people in general are stupid and should be relinquished of their rights because of their stupidity. Problem is, most of the gun owners are smart in these matters but have no legal recourse. This is how the world ends. With a whimper.

Yep and ammo registration aswell, already going into force July 2019 in California.
Some on here can argue all they want about bstocks being stupid etc. if they’re so stupid inaccurate and worthless, why is the govt so intent on banning / confiscating/ destroying them?
These are being used as a stepping stone, TPTB want to see how we’ll handle it. In a few months it will be something else. I wouldn’t doubt there’s something stuck in that big ass farm bill. Some kind of ryder dealing with guns or ammo.

If it's a right, how can your government do what it's doing?

I guess, it's not a right unless you as a people enforce it against your government. I don't see that happening.

Re: Trump’s Christmas Present: Coal for Gun Owners
Fired weapons all my life, big ones and small ones. First time using a bump stock and echo trigger devices, wanted to throw the weapon away. No control or use at all. Can shoot accurate and almost as fast without the need of my weapon losing control. Sorry but this isn't a big deal to me. Looking for that concealed carry nationwide at some point.

Full auto isn't about accuracy, it's about suppressive fire.

I'll spray a bunch down range so my guys can move while the enemy is ducking, ya know?

Trump’s Christmas Present: Coal for Gun Owners

That means we'll have to turn in our tree branches that we use as bump stock devices, our rubber bands, fingers, and belt loops...

Start rounding them up. Have them see how it feels for a change.
