Hospital Privacy Curtains Found Saturated with Deadly Superbugs
Hospitals are dangerous, deadly places, and new research finds that MRSA superbugs contaminate nearly 90 percent of hospital privacy curtains

"the research team tracked contamination rates for 10 newly laundered privacy curtains in the Regional Burns/Plastics Unit of the Health Services Center in Winnipeg, Canada over a 21-day period. Virtually contamination-free at the outset, by day 14, over 87 percent of the curtains tested positive for MRSA. Control curtains that were not put in patient rooms remained contamination free for the entire study period.

Interestingly – and scarily – none of the patients in the rooms where the curtains were tested had MRSA themselves. Instead, the contamination occurred on parts of the curtains that were frequently touched by caregivers and visitors, suggesting that it was this direct contact that was spreading the disease."

Here's the truth of it, if you've touched a door handle or a dollar bill, your hands are covered in ass.

Plain and simple.

MRSA is like AIDS being spread by hospitals, instead of drug users and sexual deviants.

It's a weird one too, some people just get mild symptoms and others life changing disabilities...?

Here in Nepal the hospitals are grubby places lol, no screens but portable ones they drag around and the patient MUST have a relative or carer at all times cos they don't feed them and all equpiment and drugs etc has to be fetched by the carer from the pharmacies in the street so a 10 bed ward that's full has 10 people sleeping on the floor etc - crazy, but i have not read anything about MRSA here?

If you ever get and survive MRSA..you will have 'flagged file' for the rest of your life here.

I know someone, who most likely caught it from snorting drugs, using some denomination of the US $$$. She caught it right next to her nose..and lucky she didn't lose part of her face.

Now she has Stage 3 cancer, at 41.

Staph is held in the nose. Staph turns into MRSA and kills everyone..

the ppl who's hand touch those curtains the most are the nurses. that is the scary fact. plus i have never seen them take down those curtains and wash them. every few hours by rights the rooms should be bleached.
