I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

But if the particles are only a few nanometers in size, it is not appropriate to call them 'sand'. sand: (uncountable, geology) A particle from 62.5 microns to 2 mm indiameter, following the Wentworth scale. Many applications use Gold. So Gold and Silver prices could fall and copper prices could rise... Very interesting developments... |

The process cost over $4,000 to make less than one cent worth of gold. But it worked. If I am going to be damned...I am going to be damned for who I really am! |

I first red... A team of gold researchers have turned copper into a new material “almost identical” to cheap chinese. Dislexia aside, maybe it ain't so far fetched. (That said with a small grin here, nothing against our Chinese friends nor China, really...). personal Signature |

Could do the same thing with gold or silver and get a cleaner rxn. But it's about $ as always. I'd rather have nano silver or gold as much of this nano-catalyst will end up in the end product. Similar to how mercury is used in the creation of HFCS as a catalyst, and ends up in all HFCS products in "trace" amounts. Quoting: ApatheticCreature Wow, that’s like coal and stuff. Catalysts also aid electrolysis of water into Hydrogen and Oxygen, which may help lower the cost of making OTEC energy portable, |

Just like Nickel can substitute for platinum in many things. Copper would have always worked in whatever process they are talking about, maybe not as well, but it would have worked. Also heard that Lockheed fusion reactor creates large amount of gold as a by product under certain test materials. It's not about turning copper into gold but using nano-meter size copper particles that exhibit similar properties to gold but the particles are still copper. |
