That doesn't work with this theory. There is no global evidence of any kind of disaster of this magnitude for at least several several million years, whereas there is the expected amount of evidence for normal human living during the various stages of humanity's existence, all the way back to some little tribe in Africa (the one where that woman is the ancestor of all of us), during the time of Indonesian Super Volcanoism (if I recall correctly).

Therefore, a) any "super advanced" civilizations would have had to be millions upon millions of years ago, billions actually. Which goes to b) this "pseudo-nova" doom would have to only operate on cycles longer than hundreds of millions or billions of years.

One cannot pull a doom-theory out of one's inventiveness that does't fit the reality of observations, else, well. This is y2k/2012 all over again.
