People need to disavow themselves of the notion that the government (or any centralized thing like the Federal Reserve) needs to "regulate" the economy, or that the economy needs to be "handled" or "managed". It is not the proper role of government, (or any centralized thing like the Federal Reserve)to interfere in markets. It's a thing called price discovery, and the reason the markets are doing what they are doing is that the government has totally fucked up price discovery. That includes the rise over the last 10 years.
