Who's Watched "Bird Box" New 2018 Netflix Movie: Psych Meds = Surviving End Days

The movie SUCKED.

Don't expect to learn anything from it other than questioning why you pay for Netflix.

I saw the film, I don't remember shit about anti psychotics protecting them from the creatures... The only people who didn't kill themselves we're those who were infected and controlled by it. What the hell are you talking about?



Also, I thought it was a fucking awesome movie.

I had a problem with not having an explanation for why. It doesn’t make sense. If people were led into a dangerous situation that resulted in death because of seeing something, sure. But they weren’t. Seeing something, and their mind just snapped? And it couldn’t come into buildings? Unless you could see out the windows? I don’t know. There’s a point of logic I’m missing. I think they backed into the plot and didn’t finish it. Hey, it’s scary if you can’t see what’s out there! Let’s build a movie around that! Throw in some group dynamics and an abandoned grocery store, done.

But for some reason it works. I was entertained. People are raving about it. I don’t understand the hype, it wasn’t THAT good. I just wish I had the one extra little plot point. WHY?!!! What it is and what is seen can stay a mystery. If it was a virus, a blanket over your head wouldn’t help. If it was being mentally unable to grasp what you were seeing and it driving you insane to the point of suicide, that would take longer than a few seconds. Maybe not long, but longer than that. It bothers me that it doesn’t make sense.

It was banal, unimaginative dribble from a washed up actress that felt it necessary to cozy up to a black co-star so she could thumb the eye of her former husband, and alleged 'rabid racist', Jesse James.

She's a Hollyweird cum dumpster in a simply dreadful film.

It was obviously something supernatural... Viruses can't move leaves. And the mere sight of something that drives you insane can't cause physical changes to your eyes.

Perhaps the author never tells you what the entity was because if you think about it, in this hypothetical world the people living in it would probably never find out. So we don't either...

A non-human entity sent to destroy world's doesn't have to make sense.

I could see why some people might not like the movie, but to call it unimaginative suggests to me that your bias against the castmemebers is effecting the review.

This was a new twist on the end of the world doom movie... Well unless you count "The Happening" which kinda had the same plot except it was trees or some shit that was making everyone kill themselves... OK maybe your right.

The movie had the "3 days of darkness" vibe to it.

It was a dark, creepy-weird movie so I don't recommend it.

The movie: "Overboard" (the remake, not the one from the 80's) was not too bad. Funny and entertaining without being too vulgar. No curse words that I recall.

I thought it was some kind of wind demon. I figured that's why I couldn't get into houses because the wind couldn't get in.

What I gathered was that the entities were not able to affect those that were blind or had their eyes hidden from them.

It also didn't attack the wicked and I just took that to mean it was because they were possessed already by them and were doing their bidding.

That movie was the gayest shit i've ever seen, I could barely finish it .

I watch it in fast forward mode mostly, Sandra Bullock eternal poor acting screwed it even worse ,looks like Michael Jackson mutilated by cosmetic surgeries. Typical Hollywood narcissists eliminating their wrinkles and with it the expression and beauty of natural aging.

Worst movie I have ever seen. It was basically a advertisment for same ol' shit forced interracial awkward relationship. It was like all the commercials nowadays where the white man was a piece of shit and all other races were there to teach him how to live and be nice to the other races. So sick of this kind of drivel being pushed as entertainment.

I watched it just to see what everyone was talking about, and it sucked.

Sea of Trees is good on Netflix. Every time I want to cancel, I find a reason to stay.

I tried it and only got past the first scene before it got boring, Maybe I’ll try it again using the fast forward technique.

Trying to figure out why anyone would still have Netflix?

I’m leaning towards a religious explanation. The people who died were happy with what they were seeing and it was beautiful. Talking to deceased loved ones. Deceased loved ones calling to them. Their death was fast. The suffering was for those that were left behind. Doomed to travel the earth without sight and in fear. The criminally insane not dying, they saw the beauty and enjoyed it, but didn’t understand it enough to be driven to join their loved ones in the other realm. Doesn’t explain all the details, but I also don’t think it was written tightly enough that all details were considered.

To y’all calling the movie crap, stop being a buzz kill and go find some joy in your life. It isn’t in danger of winning an Oscar, but it was at least mildly entertaining. If you don’t want to discuss it, then don’t. Did you know it’s actually not painful to not be a dick?

It didn't reference anti-psychotics that I saw. Besides the blind people, the fucking crazy people are the ones that survived. No way they were getting their meds and they tried to kill all the sane people.

My first thought while viewing was that it seems to be an attempt to mimic 'A Quiet Place'.

It was ok enough, but certainly not as well done as 'A Quiet Place'. I was disappointed with the ending.
