Re: God is the same as he was in Moses times....
This is the simplest way I can explain this...

If you're a parent of a 5 year old, would you let him borrow your car to go to a friend's birthday party alone?

Simply started... no.

Now, 11 years later, after he has successfully completed his driving test and got his driver's license (and you believe he is responsible enough), would you let him borrow your car.

For most of us, the simple answer is yes.

So, what changed?

You are still the same parent and he is still your child, but he has grown and matured enough for you to change the rules.

Likewise, my parents didn't let me drive a flying car. But there's a possibility that my kids will let their kids (or future generations down the line) drive a flying car... what changed?

Keep up.
 Quoting: WyCowboy

It was not an age restriction law. The law did not change. Peter did not eat unclean foods. It was meant only as an example that once God cleans something it is now clean. God cleansed the believing gentiles, not the food.

Read the conclusion:

Act 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."

yes....in this thread someone was talking about Peter and the food question...

Jesus came to free US from the LAW ......by taking US to a higher standard of thinking about instead of doing.....the law remains.....

BUT the ordinances and statutes remain in effect.....these are what MOSES wrote ...... they are mostly common sense ideas....about right eating and right living....we were not set free from these......because they never were to be considered laws.....so the PARABLE/story of Peter showed these did not make the gentiles different as law breakers...

BUT.....we eat/etc. (everything) to our own health problems/issues.....

statutes, ordinances remain for a more proper longevity of existence...

law remains and taken to a higher standard for a better LIFE.

Following a god that commands people to perform sacrifices of animals and their enemies.
Glorifying the sacrifice of "his only son," accused of claiming to be God, when he was simply showing the error of that reasoning, is hideous.

Why would the Creator of All command anyone, including Moses, to sacrifice their son?
Gentile is one of the most racist terms known to man.

Murder is an abomination and 'God' never changes. He simply would not ever tell Abraham to sacrifice Isaac.

GOD is better described as the initial condition of the LOGOS in existence. The creator of all things....those which die and those which don't. Allowing for kind begetting kind.....the continuity of seeding.

Jehovah is the condition of LOGOS in existence that a seeks for a higher existence. In this seeking it will KILL all things thought to hinder its higher seeking thoughts. We see this as the seeker, even in this thread, will condemn/kill others to promote self.

This is why God always takes a backseat to Lord all thru the Bible as expressed as LORD GOD.

The WORD that was in the beginning with GOD was GOD (and LORD).

Moses heard this I Am THAT I AM .....meaning LOGOS speak explaining to him he dad to go back after 'standing on Holy ground/DUST....containing the blood of his kill.

Moses went back and FORMED a body from this DUST of peoples and took them/it into desert to bake....

that body containing the LOGOS of the Lord God....remained asleep awaiting the coming of Emanuel..... God with US....the old image of the WORD/Logos referred to as LORD GOD.

Jesus took this BODY to its next phase of its existence as the LORD GOD JESUS.....he breathed into it the 'breath of life' by his death.

Then this living body went into 'DEEP SLEEP' for the past several 1000 years ...couple days.

Romans 3:10
As it is written , There is None righteous, no, not one:
There is None that... Understandeth.
There is None that... seeketh after God.
And The Lord Ye seek... shall suddenly come to this Temple.
Even... The Messenger of the Covenant... Whom Ye delight in.
Behold... 'He' shall come... saith the Lord of Hosts.
 Quoting: Lofty Elim

Where does Jesus say that the 10 Commandments have been abolished / superseded, OR that there are "other commandments" that need to be followed?

He goes out of His way to ask others / "point them out" at various points of the Gospels.

First....here's a summary the 10 Commandments......taken from Exodus 20

I am the LORD thy God, no other gods before me
No graven images or likenesses
Not take the LORD's name in vain
Remember the sabbath day

Honour thy father and thy mother
Thou shalt not kill
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal
Thou shalt not bear false witness
Thou shalt not covet

Then this in Deuteronomy 6...which was mentioned in the Gospels by Jesus in Matthew 22...

Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.

Notice that if you LOVE God as stated Deu 6:5 and Mat 22:37, this ONE statement is basically a "blanket" of the First 4 Commandments of Exodus 20.

Now look at what Jesus said following the above.

Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

^^^^^^^^That SINGLE statement, IF followed, covers the final 6 Commandments quite nicely!

Matthew 5

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

This is explained FIRST in Genesis concerning Adam..... i am speaking about ADAM LAST.....1st Adam was a parabolic story for the last Adam. Both are formed from 'dust' a waterless/spiritually dead people.

Moses took a BODY of people out of Egypt.....

referred to as 'MY SON ISRAEL' .... Hos 11:1

When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

if that wasn't clear enough..... Gen. 1 speaks of first Adam as the immature males and females and created.

Gen. 2 speaks of the last Adam being 'formed' from dust...having the 'breath of life' placed in nostrils (not exhaled).....2000 years/2 days after the First.

on day 8 after the 7th the day of rest.

the last/2nd Adam is mature man/woman becoming husband/wife...on/from the EVE producing children

Yet he was accused of doing so and sentenced to die.

And they claimed to be somehow above everyone else?
And continue to make that claim to this day.
Indeed, what comes out of their mouths defiles them.

Not true... GOD has dealt with mankind different ways during different periods of time... Adam and Eve didn't find salvation through Jesus Christ... neither did Noah or Abraham... they had NO concept of such a thing..

Israel, the priesthood, found salvation through keeping the law and believing Christ was who he said he was... the promised King of Kings and Lord of Lords... the son of GOD...

Then Paul, through the risen Christ, brings in the gospel of grace, and tells us ALL things are lawful for the body of Christ, but not all things are profitable...

Its always been Grace through belief , trust and reliance on God alone...

Its not canon because its a series based on passed down info through many generations... but even if you read the book of Adam and Eve its clear that they are made aware of the provision God has made. Whether it has any truth is up to the reader...however even in the Bible it is clear that its always been about belief and trust in Gods Grace.

No one was ever saved by law keeping because NO one (except Christ) has accomplished perfect adherence... hence why he will stand in the gap for you as well

The Law was never intended to save anyone; the purpose of the Law was to make us “conscious of sin.”

Different set of rules for a different group of people.

The Creator applies the same Laws of the Universe to ALL.
The same Ten Commandments in Moses' time still apply to ALL.
 Quoting: hillbilly

 Quoting: freedomsnotfree1

the only problem with this thought process......it requires a past for those past to be in......and a future required to get all our rewards in......so the thinker is always trapped in a present dilemma haunted by the past and future....

the NEW THING that always was is.......NOW .....for the I AM....

The One God as the Sublime Unity ruled in the past, and the one Plan was devised by the One God as the Sublime Unity for the creation and establishment of his Kingdom; but, owing to failure of subjugatory mission and to numerous widespread disasters, that which had been revealed to one age passed out of remembrance, and the substance thereof was rerevealed to the succeeding age.
 Quoting: Nemesis8

yes, that is why the last book is THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.....revelation is always NOW.

The ONLY BEGOTTEN son of GOD, Just as GOD's word tells us:

John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life

anyone who refers to Jesus as merely a "prophet" or was just an enlightened teacher is denying who Christ really was and is.

There are people who push new-age junk like the phony phoenix journals, and other false new-age crap.....these people also deny who Jesus was and is, and deny the bible as the Word of GOD.....these people are liars and deceivers.
 Quoting: Baloney

Yes the key is if they are deniers ..... there are many new things to be learned NOW......by revelation.

We should all hold tightly that which we believe in open hands....

many so called believers know nothing because they have ears dull of hearing...... but can repeat taught words... as a cage full of birds.....

Folks who place being right as the priority in a discussion really need to check motive...

The Book speaks so clearly a child can understand. God is not the author of confusion, so if your confused then keep reading it, if your trying to make it make sense for others using your own wisdom, then your swimming in the wrong pond.
 Quoting: Ozric

some one afraid of being right uses it as an excuse for false humility....when really it is simply a sottish behavior....lacking TRUTH
 Quoting: yesterdays dust

being right is as simple as having the facts , the facts are inconvenient for deception agents because they get in the way... whether humility is true or false has nothing to do with the truth, or being right... the facts are the facts, they do not discriminate, although it may feel that way.
 Quoting: Ozric

your words are far from TRUTH....... the world is full of facts but they KNOW nothing....

the Bible refers to my people running to and fro for knowledge/facts ....... and perishing as sottish people....

far above facts/simple knowledge it TRUTH .....but we each must pass through/gain understanding then wisdom before Truthful revelation stands a chance to grow in the HEART....which is required to retrain the soulish head of man

He is Esu Immanuel Sananda now.
He came to bring us truth then and now.
I have proof that his message is the truth.
I have seen it work in my 58 years of life here.
You are free to believe whatever suits your fancy shoeshine.

Esu Immanuel sananda.....aka michael aton....aka michael of nebadon.......these are all names for the same being....satan.

Those lost in urantia/phoenix journals cults replaced Christ, the only begotten son of GOD, with this phony michael BS. and Yes, they are liars and deceivers.

...these people are liars and deceivers.

yes, they maintain the matrix.....as we/US did/do through the dead image of US.....of Gen 1.....

This is why the controllers seek to maintain the houses of controlled thinking.

and sought for the One World Order....MATRIX control....existence is that matrix (computer simulation)....

The LIVING BEINGS by WORD change the matrix...

the weight of change is NOW in TRUTHS favor.....the polar shift is at hand....

lies to TRUTH .......wrong to RIGHT .....dark to LIGHT ....the cross will be inverted.....men will walk upright....no more crawling from their bellies eating each other as so much dust....

I just share whats in the Book, you can twist it anyway ya want and you can call me whatever ya like...

facts are facts... isnt it a fact that people run to and fro for facts ? Isnt it fact that God said in His book that the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God?

1 Cor 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
