Did NY for New Years Eve ONCE ... and that once was enough for me.

I HATED the "Pens" situation.

I HATED not being able to go to the bathroom once one was in their particular "Pen" (think HOURS, as in 6 hours OR MORE)

I hated the cold weather
(and normally I like cold weather, but when you can NOT move and can NOT drink anything hot or alcoholic since you can NOT go to the bathroom the coldness gets into your bones)

*The People there was were all GREAT! (not a nasty person at all, both in and out of the pen - of course nobody was drinking either!!, for the same reason I wasn't, lol)
*The NYC Police were all GREAT!
*The Entertainment was all GREAT!
*It was exceptionally well organized

If I would do it again I would pay the extravagant amount of money it costs to rent a room at one of the few hotels right on Times Square. That way you could go in and out with no problem, enjoy the event but able to go inside to use the restroom, then back outside to the event.
