Yup, it's Gnat city around here in the summers, lots more than in the past. I even removed a couple Elderberry plants in the yard this fall because they were fruit fly magnets. Who does your thinking?

For fruit fly infestation do the following: Boil a pot of water and pour one full pot down each drain in your house, especially your kitchen sink. Drains are where they breed. Also, pour one ounce of water in a small container. Add a tablespoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of sugar, AND a few drops of dish washing liquid. Place near an area where they seem to congregate. The vinegar and sugar will draw them to the container. The dish soap will break the water tension and they will drown and die.
