31 December 2018 Concentrations of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) - which causes the high - in herbal cannabis have risen from five per cent in 2006 to 10 per cent in 2016. Experts have long warned of the dangers of high potency cannabis because of its established links to psychosis and mental health issues.
