Without googling, how many sq ft are in an acre?
It changed.
I wonder if the spirits and gods watching us are trying to separate people. These might be markers for separating people. Maybe something happened to humanity that the spirits and gods were blind to, and they are now trying to figure it out... There might just be Gods above the gods.
Quoting: BroDude dude It's the same as it always has been Here's the Math. 1 Square Mile is 640 Acres so. 5280 X 5280 = 27878400 divided by 640 = 43560 So what do you think has Changed.?. Quoting: NewSELFInChrist hmm. I've staked hundreds of mining claims. each claim is 20 acres. Each measurement is always exactly 600'X 1500'. 20 acres = 900,000 sq/ft (note the even number) 1 acre then equals 45,000 sq/ft Sections (square mile) are never exact btw. To take in account for the curvature of the earth, they are never exact. WOW. I just looked up mining claims and it keeps going to placer claim measurements even if I specify 'lode' which means hard rock. The CRAZY thing is that they are throwing out the measurement 660' X 1320' instead of the standard measurement 600'X 1500' that has been used since 1850! But, looking up the still standing 'Lode Claim' measurement for 20 acres, it is 600'X 1500' and it is STILL defined as 20 acres.
