I'm about to be homeless because of the shut down, but I still support our president! Yes and no. The savings are tied up with the bank and real estate company to cover closing costs. I have enough left over for about 3 weeks. Ideally, the government shutdown will end by Friday or Monday and none of this will happen. But if this doesn't happen, then the house will come off contract and we might not get it even if the government reopens in a few weeks, which would leave us stranded until we find something else. I'm not completely freaked out right now, but I am trying to plan for multiple contingencies. Anyof which will use up a lot of our saved-up money that otherwise wouldn't have been spent without the shut-down. |

I'm about to be homeless because of the shut down, but I still support our president! I'm just posting this to remind people that some of us are seriously effected. I'm not asking for anything other than prayers. Quoting: Zedakah I have always been 'cursed' with horrible luck, and if there is an exception to something, then I somehow always fall in it. I am one of the very very few affected by the shutdown, and I'm not even a government employee. If the government doesn't start back up by next week, I will be homeless. I don't work for the government, nor do I receive any benefits from the government. BUT, I cancelled my lease for my current apartment, because I am buying my first house. We are closing next week. The loan is a federal government loan, and they have informed my wife and I that they refuse to issue the loan as long as the government is shut down. So, I will be packing up everything I own into a moving truck and parking it somewhere until the government reopens (assuming the house I am buying isn't sold to someone else by then). The worst part is the loan is simply backed by the government. All the paperwork is done, but they are refusing to sign it until the government is funded. For what it's worth, I 100% blame the democrats. But, just keep in mind that some of us can be very-oddly effected by a government shut down, so I do hope it is resolved soon with Trump coming out on top. When North Korea is easier to negotiate with than the democrat party, then something is horribly wrong with them. democrats are a WMD and will be the death of us (literally) if we don't put a stop them. Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running. Used by the Founders... Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives” reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day... America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments... 1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year. 2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges. 3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set. 4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit. Mandatory death penalty by public hanging is the merciful sentence for pedos and their associates. Democrats are a WMD, literally. Let Justice Be Done Though The Heavens Fall. |

Wanna hear about the time I got a cute mid-range cottage on there...got there and shortly discovered that the building was actually condemned by the city and the crazy lady next door had hooked up the water via a hose, etc, had "repaired" the place in some sort of paste and construction paper schizophrenia-induced psychosis, and was renting it out on AirBnB. I'm about to be homeless because of the shut down, but I still support our president! just stay in the apartment until the shutdown is over. pay the landlord month by month until fha starts approving loans again. if i was the landlord, it wouldn't be a big deal to me to let you pay month by month till they get the shutdown settled. Quoting: Dr. Strangelove I can't. This is a luxury apartment, and I had to pay 2 months rent to break the lease and give a 60 day notice. They already have it booked for a move-in day for someone in 2 weeks. Then they might be breaking the law. The most they can charge you for is two weeks. They can't double dip if it is occupied. My husband and I have a few rentals and my understanding is according to the law you can only charge a tenant for the unoccupied portion of their lease. Even the two weeks is questionable since it is customary to do some renovation between tenants. I know you don't want to screw the new tenants but it's not your problem. I'd play hardball. Tell them you either get to stay until you need without any further issues or reimbursements or you will report them to HUD and the state. FHA is basically shut down. Your mortgage company can't get what's known as a "case number" while the shutdown is in effect. We also can't order tax transcripts from the IRS to verify income. Both of those are temporary deal killers. Sorry you got caught up in all this, Zed. Prayers sent for your family. LARP |
