He lists:
- Executive Director of the Task Force on National & Homeland Security
- Congressional EMP Commission

Are these government offices/positions and if so, what department does he answer to?

If they are private organization that is fine but I'd like to know where he fits in.

I found this from 2011 where Congress seemingly authorized the Task Force and put him in charge of it. I wonder if it is still active/funded?

Looking at it with a discerning eye. This guy has 1100 followers and is following 5 people. Until Jan. 3rd, his tweets had less than 100 views.

I don't know if that is really him. He joined in June, his second tweet in November mentions JonXarmy.

He is/was the Head of the EMP Congressional Committee. I was trying to find info regarding their progress as a law in 2016 was passed to have them harden the grid. But it looks like Congress defunded it in 2017. So, the grid is still vulnerable.

Now solarham.net calls this a G1, which shouldn't cause issues, but I am guessing that Dr Pry knows more than we can find out. Also consider the odd happenings last week with the power plants and the phone lines. I dunno. But when you add the DHS notice about grid failure, it gets the spidey senses engaged.

If it's the Sun, it would be better as some of the southern grid could survive.

I checked the NOAA site. Last week when we had the blue sky/transformer hits we were at a K5 which is a G1 storm. It doesn't show a current storm, we are only at a K3.

Right. I think solarham gets their info from NOAA and other agencies around the world.

A G1 wouldn't do a grid take down. Maybe Dr Pry has other info. Possible attack, or NOAA is downplaying the storm tonight and tomorrow.

Or maybe the Doc's cheese slipped off his cracker? I don't know.

What I do know is it is better to prepare and have nothing happen than ignore it and have something happen. Don't max out your credit cards or anything, but get water and food, etc in place. As best you can anyway.

Based on the twitter responses, this is starting to look like a fake account to me.

People are calling him fake and he is responding that it's not fake. These exchanges make it seem like a fake account to me.

He is replying to people on his Twitter now.

Basically people are calling his account and posts fake, he is assuring people he isn’t but there is a deleted tweet from Jan 4th saying we have 18 days, and that once we hit that mark his claims will be irrefutable.

Just now within 2 minutes it was removed.

it was a fake account, they called him personally

and verified it.

Glad to hear. I guess I can delay my prep trip to the supermarket a couple days
