Very sad, and unnecessary.
ANIMAL FRIEND

"All creatures are created from the same paternal heartbeat of God. Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission--to be of service to them wherever they require it. If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men."

Dicamba is a weedkiller linked to crop and vegetation damage in Arkansas and other states in the past three years, as farmers planted soybeans and cotton genetically modified to be tolerant of the chemical. Dicamba damages other varieties of soybeans and cotton, fruits, vegetables and ornamental shrubs and bushes.

Weed scientists in Arkansas and other states say dicamba is susceptible after application to "volatilizing" as a gas and moving miles away, especially in hot and humid weather.

wtf

And they are still using it if I read right.

EPA OKed it through 2020 (notsure)

Could we just once have some quick Doom this death by 1000 cuts is so 1990s.

Dicamba is a benzoic acid herbicide. It can be applied to the leaves or to the soil. Dicamba controls annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in grain crops and grasslands, and it is used to control brush and bracken in pastures. It will kill broadleaf weeds before and after they sprout.

Re: Arkansas honey seller faults dicamba in closing.
"Arkansas had about 1,000 complaints of dicamba damage in 2017, prompting the state Plant Board to ban its use on crops after April 15 last year. Even with that cutoff date, the board received 200 complaints, leading its members to believe some farmers sprayed illegally deep into the summer."

So uninformed people or people who value money over common sense kept using the product.

Fking morans.

"After the federal Environmental Protection Agency announced in October that it will allow the in-crop use of dicamba through December 2020, the Plant Board recommended allowing its use this year through May 20. That recommendation, however, still must go through a 30-day period for public comment and a public hearing."

What dipshits!

I live around some smaller farms, who find it more lucrative to sell naturally grown crops, at the local markets. I have a nearby bee keeper who has 4 hives on my property, in exchange for honey.

Only 1 way to stop this. Hold these fuckers accountable that allow this shit and hang them by the neck in public squares.

If anyone has a more civilized method, by all means bring it forth. But when dealing with psychopathic mentally deranged people, I really don't see any real alternative solution.

Do people realize just how important insects are in general to the ecological health of the ecosystems? Especially bees.

Just fucking wow on this.

GREED is what causes shit like this.

GMOs folks! This should be nothing new to GLP. Montasanto...FDA...these fuckers are in bed together and don't give two shits about our health.

So, they create a strain of soybean (GMO) that can be sprayed directly with dicamba. This saves $$$ and also increases product size greatly. Instead of 5 bushels you may get 10.

The PROBLEM though is shit like this..overuse spreads to other places fucking up things like bee pollination. Not to mention our health eating this shit food.

Luckily it's just myself and my wife and we can afford to buy mostly at the health food stores. But, most people either arent educated enough and or can't afford to do this...so the wal marts of the world will continue to buy this chemical laden bullshit continuing to increase the market thus the farmers will continue with their fucked up ways because that's what pays the best.

Interesting area. I live in one of the original farm houses.

My neighbor raises free range chickens, ducks and geese. another baught up a long defunct golf course and after many years of cleanup and crop rotation, turned it into a bee sanctuary. They raise sheep and keep horses.

The last of the larger farms was recently baught by a historian, who is excavating most of the property, as there are rumors of it being an important part of our migration west. His wife is Chinese and grows the most amazing vegetables.

There is also a fully restored and protected wetland down the hill and across the road. A short hike leads to an old growth forest.
