But at least three of the four living U.S. presidents — Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama — did no such thing.

First of all, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Hillary have all endorsed the need for a barrier on the southern border. Publically. In fact, Bill Clinton said so in a State of the Union address.

If they object to it now, they are the ones who are being deceitful.

But who knows what Trump was referring to that was said in private conversations?

But none of the past living presidents said it was true.

On Monday, Carter became the latest to deny it, joining his former fellow past presidents.

'I have not discussed the border wall with President Trump, and do not support him on the issue,' Carter said in the statement issued through his Carter Center.

Eric Shultz, a spokesman for former president Barack Obama, pointed The Post to past remarks in which Obama spoke critically about the wall.

Bush spokesman Freddy Ford said the former president had not discussed the matter with Trump.

A spokesperson for Clinton said he hadn't discussed with Trump either.

Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña said: 'He did not. In fact, they've not talked since the inauguration.'

An unfulfilled promise is not a lie, it's an unfulfilled promise. How about giving him a little more time before you start yelling "Liar"? Like a year or so. When Trump said he was bringing the troops home now, he probably assumed that people would know that he didn't mean instantly. That would be impossible for one thing.

Also, on many occasions, he has made it quite clear that he will never telegraph the timing of military actions. Therefore, he probably figured that people would know that, too, as well as the obvious fact that troops will not be moved if conditions on the ground change.

In terms of ISIS, it was announced today that 99% of ISIS has been defeated. I would say that is a victory.

In order to understand Trump, here are some keys:
1. He speaks with a fourth grade vocabulary. That is a deliberately honed, high level persuasive skill.
2. He thinks in terms of numbers which is an indication of a scientific mind, much like his uncle, John, who was the scientist that the government asked to review Tesla's work. We can know this from the fact that Trump can recall budget details off the top of his head and refers to numbers frequently.
3. Because he thinks in terms of numbers, he skips over the minor details necessary to explain exactly what he means. He assumes that people understand the context without his having to explain everything. He's like the guy who can solve a math problem without listing each step and wrongly assumes that everybody else can, too.

The problem I have with the press is they're not fair. It is a fact that 90% of mainstream coverage is and has been negative, according to a Pew study. No wonder people hate Trump. Given that kind of reporting, people would hate Mother Theresa.

If you knew anything about the US government, you would know that the US Congress controls what is done. All 535 members.

Geez...I cannot believe that people don't know how it works! We have a president, not a dictator. Holding a president to his word depends on if the Congress agrees....or if they're traitors and are purposely trying to destroy America. For example, Pelosi, Schumer, Maxine Waters and many Democrats.

Then why didn't they get this passed when they had the Senate, the House and the WH? Everyone agrees we need border security, comprehensive border security. The wall by itself will not do enough to solve the problem.
