This reminds me of the whole series of videos that
came out about whether Parrots "mimic" speech...or if
they actually are "cognitive" of what the speech means.

If "Polly wants a cracker" is just a series of SOUNDS
the bird memorizes to get a treat...that is much DIFFERENT
than the Parrot being able to REPHRASE that same sentence
to communicate the intention...like: "Birdie wants THE
CRACKER IN YOUR HAND." Totally different because it shows
the bird can REASON.

Well...surprise, surprise, it has been established that
at least SOME parrots CAN REASON and have higher functions
of intelligence.

It really isn't any different for a CAT than a Parrot.

I'm going with the idea that this video isn't showing
us a "trick" IT IS SHOWING INTELLIGENCE.

Buddhists have known this for a long time. All sentient
beings have consciousness. Cats are sentient beings.
