That's great that you were able to research and act on it and heal yourself. Definitely safer in most cases than going to a hospital. Prevention is key of course. And not freaking out over every little thing, a lot of things get better by themselves (not your infection!) and it's better to get out of the way and let your body heal itself.

OMG...those pics were so BAD.

I had to look. I had a gruesome mishap & just held my toe nail in place.
