What eyes are being referred to if Adam and Eve were not blind? There are natural eyes and then there is the third eye. What do you think?
Gen 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Quoting: Patriotic Black dude Since the plural "eyes" are being used instead of the singular "eye" I think something heavier than mere gnosis is being hinted at. Remember. "If the eye be single, the body will fill with light." That actually is in reference, I believe, to the concept of gnosis. I suspect, the "Mark" as it is called in Revelations, and the opening of the eyes in the plural for Adam and Eve are the same dark act. Perhaps we can get a few decent enough theological thinkers in here to put in their own two cents?  Yeah cuz when someone realizes something we say oh your eye opened No we fucking don't We say eyes Nothing interesting about the plural
