No, he profaned it.
One minute they saw themselves in the naked splendor of perfect innocense before God in Paradise with a perfect Will.
The next minute they saw themselves as naked, without God, beside themselves, profaned from their own true Will.
They died that day, even though they were still walking around.
In an act of Mercy, God forced them banished from the physical garden so they would not eat of the Tree of Life and live an accursed half life forever separated from Paradise within.
He gave them animal skin tunics to cover them. Man and the creation itself had fallen from Eden.
Quoting: Pneumati tou Stomatos it said their eyes were OPENED that means it was prior to the Serpent closed. That is inferred in the verse. Their eyes were opened to the Profane, the exoteric, the outer, the shell world of emptiness. Before that they were perfectly holistic, esoteric, within themselves and their true Will. So, yes, their eyes were opened...to the banishment and vanity of Death. at no time are we told their eyes were EVER open prior to the Serpent. So again , what eyes were opened if not the biological eyes?
