Huge booms ( 4 ea ) in the sky just now. central Alabama. anyone else here that shit?

I was outside for 2 of them and the came from the sky. No echoes through the valley. From above.

Does this ever happen where you are? Like the ones in NC or wherever?

Those aren't explosions. Its the sound it makes when air or water is rushed quickly into the earths crust and changes pressure. the crust is about to shift. all those "Explosions" you hear are the last bits of magma in plastic state breaking the tendrils.


here comes science:

so as the magma loosens, it creates void space below the crust, cause its got less volume when warm. That volume needs to be filled with air or water. that whip crack snap is the sound it makes.

now you know where the worlds water has been vanishing too.

I've heard them before but never this strong.

It's happened before not to long ago but only one. This time it was 4 ass rattling ones. My cats and dogs were running around like mad.

Could be water, we've received massive amounts of rain latley.

I could feel it through my feet. Man it was almost like a quake but it made 4 loud explosions.

Last one I heard was Houston about 6 years ago. Rattled the whole neighborhood around 2 or 3 in the morning. I went out and there were others out looking for the cause. To this day, none of know what it was. It sounded like someone dropped a bomb right outside my home.

I've moved out of the city to a rural area and I haven't heard another one since. Apparently, people are hearing these all over the place.

There was a researcher on YouTube looking into it and he made a fascinating discovery. He ran across several old articles that were written in the early 1800's of loud booms being heard. The newspapers who wrote these article were all around the New Madrid. Then came the great New Madrid earthquakes of 1811 and 1812. It seems the booms stopped since no more articles were found after the earthquakes. The Youtube also vanished. Just stopped making videos to this day. Don't know what happened with him but he was really good at what he did.

Im in a rural area. It happened here a couple of months ago but it was not this loud and it was only one then. This was 4 and yes it sounded like a howitzer going off.

Just talked to the sheriff and it wasn't a gas line and no one has reported it yet.

I trained soldiers how to use explosives and one day they brought out 250 lbs of some old tnt they needed to get rid of. So we blew it all at once and these booms were just like that. I got a semi off that shit bro.

I'm in Cullman too, I didn't hear anything. but I live in Hanceville and I here booms now and then on the weekends

I was looking for an article released yesterday (if I remember right) that "reveals" what most of the booms are but of course, I can't find it now.

Between the booms & the trumpet noises, I believe most are explainable, but then there's the few that make your hair stand on end...

Large booms off the Carolina coast have been heard for hundreds of years. Known as Seneca Guns by old-timers, they are still unexplained. I heard them several times while I lived there for 7 years.

Funny you mention that! The cows did start running. We have 130 cows out back.

Ours have only happened during the daytime. I would shit my pants if I heard the trumpet sounds.
