Dr. Deplorable Astromut Senior Forum Moderator 01/11/2019 11:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | IKR Why does the horizon look a few hundred meters away? The moon is not that small so why does everything look like you could walk it in a few hrs?? Meh = if real then why no 4k res so we can do distance etc? On the moon there is no atmosphere to speak of and therefore none of the visual cues your brain is used to seeing. On earth we have haze which gives our brains a visual cue on distance, but that isn't present on the moon. |

Shouldn't it be solid rock? What process created the lunar dust? Quoting: coyoteblue It is next step in the desiccation of BULLSHIT. Just like the shitty pictures. First their pics were brown and now they fixed the color to match the NASA suggested color scheme. I study you all. We are NOT FREE. We are FREE RANGE. Master of Kentucky windage. "Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as internationalists and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure; one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller "The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries... We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis, and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David Rockefeller If I post something and you are an asshole in your response I will delete you. Quoting: Blunt Force Trauma I do not see clear definition of basin, or crater walls? 11-12-18: Thread: China set to Launch Lunar Rover to Moon Far-side... The crater is 180 km in diameter. From the middle of it, it's 56 miles to the nearest rim. Given a radius of the moon of about 1079 miles, a distance of 56 feet, and a height of about 3 feet, that equals 7368 feet of the crater rim that should be obscured by the curve of the moon. Looking at the panorama, it does show hills along part of the horizon, but it's completely reasonable that you wouldn't necessarily see the far side of the crater. [link to img.purch.com (secure)] You can clearly see the crater rim approaching in the landing video until the vehicle pitches over after nulling its horizontal velocity. The basin itself is huge, 2500 km in diameter. You're not going to be able to tell you're in a basin that size while standing within it. Last Edited by Astromut on 01/11/2019 05:00 PM |

I truly believe we've been there and sent probes there etc.. But I must admit, these videos and pictures fuckin suck and look like shit. No atmosphere or not, the quality is terrible. Is it simply from compression to lessen the file sized to send back the footage or what.. Toes |
