With her potentially stepping down, that gives Trump the ultimate bargaining chip. He could use this opportunity to promise the dems a new selection that fits their ideologies ONLY if they give the wall the green light.

But...knowing Trump...he knows the choice for supreme court is obviously a more important hole to fill. A Wall can stay up for 30+ years, but a SCJ can too, and also impact the political climate. Plus, who's to say things won't get better after 30 years? Maybe the need for a wall could go away, maybe not. Trump will paint the image of him wanting the wall more than a justice that fits his criteria. Obviously the people will call him a moron who's "too in love with his racist, stupid, and inhumane wall" but they get a justice out of it. Only, Trump won't do that. He'll manage to get the wall up AND select the judge of his choosing.
