This is the way it should be done for the people bitching about America first. Trump is smart he can not afford to cut off the legal H1-B holders. Those people did it right but I bet what he will do is stop all the over staying and the abuse of the H1-B visas by people. There has to be a middle ground and the United States was built by immigrants and as a human everyone deserves to be able to go where they want. It just needs to be done the right way and if you are a criminal then you fucked up your chances. I am sure Trunp and his team has it all reformed to better suit the American people.

Every single one of them who attended college or grad school here got a student visa, and to get that visa they had to SWEAR (or affirm) that they had NO IMMIGRATION INTENTION.

99% of them have sworn falsely. They should be presumptively kicked out for that. If some can make a convincing case that they really didn't plan to join their countrymen on the way to staying here a long time, they can make that case.

You're writing as if it's about the illegals. Here we are discussing people in professional jobs who need official status, otherwise they would leave in a heartbeat. We can trim down the number on legal status to those who really cannot be replaced by Americans -- after PROVEN very good faith efforts to find and pay Americans for those jobs.

But they did lie under oath to get their student visas. We should not forget all about that.

We have needed immigration reform for a long time. Dems have been promising it for 10 yrs. It would be ironic if a Republican President is the one to finally do it.

We don't need amnesty in any form. We need deportation. Even for these "legal" 3rd-world job thieves.

H1-B immigrants are why the majority of our own most skilled have extreme job insecurity, are massively underpaid and have as hard a time buying a house as your average plumber or electrician.

I've worked for companies where more than half of upper management aren't from here, are rude and very bad at their jobs. The reason they get the jobs and are promoted is because they have their own little secret network/mafia within the company/industry that promotes each other.

Trump IS betraying his base.

We need NO new immigration for 20 years.

There are some people abusing the H1B1 visas. I know for a fact that these people come from India directly on a short term temporary assignment. As soon as their contract is up, they look for another contract for low rate and apply for a Green Card. These people are temporary workers and not supposed to stay longer than they were intended to.

Of course this will be ignored by the anti Trump media.
It doesn't fit their narrative.

They advocate no guns yet they sell arms.

They say they need border security as they sneak drugs across.

They argue against the very crimes they are involved. It's like controlled opposition on crack.

H1-B visas are called the "Silent Invasion". This is how the global pirates have been slowly changing professional US demographics for 30 years. Most H1b holders are DOCTORS NOT ENGINEERS and this is why our med system has been taken over. They come here and NEVER LEAVE.

I lost my job in Computer science due to a group of Indians undercutting my department by working for less than 4$ per hour.

American was built by settlers who came to pretty much vacant land after 9 out of 10 indigenous had been wiped out by disease brought by Cortez, an explorer.

I don't want H1-B visa holders to have "paths to citizenship". I think these programs largely need to be eliminated or reduced severely because there are plenty of Americans who can do those jobs and who have been FIRED (or never hired) because companies can get foreigners to work much cheaper and then hold them like hostages.

I don't want more immigration, illegal or LEGAL. I think we need to stop for a while, put the brakes on, and try to assimilate the people we have. We should NOT be hiring any foreigners until every American who wants a job has one. And maybe train some of those people on the welfare rolls to do some kind of useful work.

I agree with you. My ancestors helped to settle the US/Canada and they built the towns, the roads, the laws, the Constitution, fought in all the wars, etc. We weren't fucking immigrants. The immigrants were the cheap labor the elite class let in to work the factories for PENNIES. And they had an effect on destroying our commitment to the Constitution and the ideals of the Founding Fathers because many of them came from corrupt lands. Think of how much better off our country might be if we had not let in the MAFIA for example. There are very strong parallels with the current migrant situation except the old timers did it legal, but each wave of migration dilutes the civilization that founded this country. THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE SO MANY LIBERALS NOW. They come from "immigrant" backgrounds even back to the 19th century.

They had no ready made jobs, no hospitals, no roads, no schools, no social services. Nothing.

Dumb-down White kids with kosher sex, drugs and ne gro noise and a shit education and then say we need to bring in non-Whites because American kids just aren't interested in the science fields.

Just like they propagandize White people to have fewer children with the lie that White people are over-populating the world and then say White countries need non-Whites to come in to their countries to bolster the population numbers because Whites aren't reproducing enough.
