Sorry, just saw that I haven't answered the first part of your question. His Sun is in the 6th natal, mine is in the 3rd natal. His Ascendant is at 14 degrees Leo, while mine is 0.20 Leo.

I'll share what's interpreted for me: This rings true since I have forced myself to survive within self-imposed boundaries I originally wanted to run away. Thanks for the accuracy!

sun card eight of diamonds, karma oft lain in power and control struggles...

the card governing the eclipse is a nine of spades in your jupiter period... the former usually equates to painful bad ju ju, but the latter speaks to a benefic, blessed outcome. suit specifically dealing with work and personal health, i would guess the eclipse season may bring about an ending for you in those terms - work or health matters.

the keynote to the number nine is letting go. those able to can see the light at the end of the tunnel for what it is. those who can't, well, they tend to make a finite tunnel endless needlessly.

you've a few more nines in your yearly spread, so unless you've achieved buddha hood already, i'd wager this year hasn't been one you'd refer to as dear. the light at the end of the tunnel the cards speak to is one of release from financial worries - not in a sense of hitting the lottery, but in changing the eye that is the beholder of the worries... appreciating and making the most of times of abundance and realizing, perhaps having faith even, that the times of lacking, too, will pass.

I am not here for the magic. I am here for the rarity.

I truly appreciate your answer. My son's solar return Moon will be in the 7th on his birthday (Jan 21st), and my Moon will transit the 11th house on that date. Natally, his Moon is in the 8th conjunct Venus, while mine conjuncts Jupiter in the 5th.
Once again, thank you!
 Quoting: Enigmatta

i've been working on reading C.G. Jung's "Synchronicity" over the past week before bedtime, as I am now typing a brief bit past, and he observed in his research that conjunctions of Sun and Moon occur in married couples much more frequently (more so than any other astrological conjunction) than can be rationally attributed to chance - and I would wager the results of a parent-child study (what I would do if I were like Jung too) would be interesting, no idea what they would reveal, but still...

both of your natal moons are in succedent houses, ergo, you both are most comfortable emotionally in situations involving action as spurred by thought/motivation/inspiration. neither of you likely care much for woolgathering or brainstorming, nor reminiscing or harvesting when it comes to emotional matters.

what's interesting between the two of you is that while you will experience the eclipse within the succedent house of the fourth quadrant - a familiar house for you, your son will experience it in a cadent house, where impetus is driven less towards action and more towards deliberation and careful thought before action.

a time may come in the near future that you may feel as though your son may be drawing away from you emotionally, and that you must act upon this, but my advice would be to stay any such urges provided there is no reason to suspect imminent physical harm to himself or others.

the last thing moon-jupiter in the 5th wants to hear is to not smother, i know, but it is what it is.

7th, relationships, you brought up solar returns so you're no newbie... he may likely begin a process of re-evaluating relationships, discerning which fulfill him emotionally and which no longer do, be they permanent or transitory only time can see through...

i, myself, have moon (mother) conjunct venus (harmony) in a succedent house, the 11th - and it was always a disaster when she came to me when i was distraught about something, but when i reached out to her in crisis (the one time in her life), she knew perfectly, on the spot without me saying, what to do that eased what i was going through with everyone i associated with and was connected to

Re: 1st degree Leo Lunar eclipse, what's in store for you?
willing to field a few questions from here until then, then being January 21st, 12:12 AM EST

to the best of my ability to put simply, the symbology of a lunar eclipse is an affectation of a sudden, noticeable, sometimes drastic change that shifts something on one's want versus need scale

i.e...

something happens that makes you realize a relationship you feel you need is in fact merely something you want to hold onto for comfort's sake

something happens that makes it a necessity to find new employment after a while of thinking a new environment would suit better

something happens whereby one is forced to realize that influences affecting one's anxiety, peace of mind, happiness, etc that one would like
blame on others are in fact a result of one'Q&As own volition

things like that...

i can try to glean a little bit with merely a day and month of birth. adding year of birth makes a significant leap to a moderate bit. adding time and place of birth leaps further to a mucho bit. asking for my details and reading it for me leaps into a quantum bit.

if you're an upgraded member and would rather not share personal info publicly, you can pm me.

for a significant few, it ought to pose quite a doosey what with the lesser and greater benefics in conjunction square the big rose-colored glass. general lunacy, megalomania, and obsessive manias are almost sure to run rampant leading up to it in some way, whether let loose upon the loosh or reigned in.

Sabian symbol 01/11/2019
21 Degrees Capricorn – 21:59 Capricorn

A GENERAL ACCEPTING DEFEAT GRACEFULLY

This Symbol shows being able to see where and when to "Accept" that things are not working and letting go of events or people or thoughts that no longer work for you. There's times when we realize there is no longer any point in fighting and to 'win' in some situations may be impossible. At the time of surrender, it is the valor of the battle and the way you handled it that will be remembered. Sometimes, it is how gracefully you handle defeat that will be the measure. You will go onto other endeavors and win. You don't always have to "Accept Defeat": sometimes you have to accept your own victories.

Truth of inner worth. Learning that every minor skirmish is not a defeat. Giving up and being willing to start again. Nobility of character. Letting go of the charge around anger.

The Caution: Being a bad loser. Feeling everything is going to come out badly. Reliance on self-limitations. Seeing the negative. Betrayal and loss. Loss of support. Surrendering.

Some may be alarmed that this symbol seems to carry defeatist tendencies. Fear not.
At its core, this word image points to good character, one not toppled by pebbles, rocks, boulders or stomping mastodon feet. It is the ego… who you think you are in times of insecurity… that crumbles at the slightest phist in its general direction. However, deeper than ego-identity is the light of character and spirit. Gracefulness can only be made manifest from there.
Be alert for messages out of the blue, especially those of an innocent tone. A casual call to just say hello may turn out to be very sweet and surprising, perhaps a breath away from deep feelings.
In tender moments of sharing, one may dare to trust, to venture out into the open, exposed yet full of grace.

The eclipse season in particular may bring about an end to this relationship, along with indecision and worries as to how you may feel about it.

Being creative with some personal outlet is probably the most beneficial way to resolve whatever tension you may feel. Try new things, different styles of communicating, and take the punches they have to offer as learning experiences.

Chances are you may have already done so to some extent and will continue throughout the year until your next birthday. Your 35th year has some seriously strong benefic influences, under which you are likely to discover to where it is all of this year's change may bring you.

whew... joke's all good, a heart sun, and a ten at that - a symbol of weddings and success with groups :)

given a 2-hour window, it's possible the eclipse will hit your 4th house, but is more likely to be your 5th

you have the kings of all four suits in your yearly spread, and the first half of the year beginning with your 43rd birthday, I would guess, has prompted much ado with self-mastery and applying greater wisdom in your affairs and direction of life. the keynote struggle being to learn how to better serve your own best interests in work and/or health matters.

the eclipse season may bring about inspiration ado with needed change in what you value in life, particularly from your father or an older man paving a way to open a door to a better understanding of a deeper truth as to what success means to you in order to reach a sense of stability that, in the recent past, may have always seemed to be just out of arm's reach.

if the eclipsed moon indeed lands in your 5th, the door could be that of a change in artistic ventures or some other way you express yourself, or a significant development in your dealings with children - those of others or your own

We Leos don't believe in this Astrology nonsense....
 Quoting: JohnM

Leos don't have a problem with it... though it does tend to rock their belief they are in total control, all the time. Learning there are 10 currents of energy that effect them moment to moment can rattle them a bit.

You likely have some strong Virgo in your chart (common with Leo's)

Virgo energy isn't interested in any tool it can't apply immediately with tangible results... it has non time for that wishy washy emotional / spiritual crap lol

the birth year coming to an end for you contains the same symbolism as it did for me during the preceding leo lunar eclipse in spring of 2017...

over the past year, I would guess you have faced a significant struggle ado with work or health matters - a loss of a job or an onset of a disabling health condition. while it may or may not be apparent for you now, this transition will ultimately lead to a position in life whereby you have a greater fortitude from an emotional point of view.

being a seven of diamonds sun, the six of diamonds governs your moon in the spiritual spread, and so the eclipse stands a chance to have a significant impact upon you emotionally. fortunately, the short-term impact is likely to bring a heightened sense of stability in matters pertaining to your financial and familial situations.

in the long run, though, stability in matters of work and health may pose a continual challenge in the upcoming year, challenging you to question and/or re-asses what it is that's important to you.

becoming more of a leader may be a theme spurred by events in the near future, perhaps involving a new relationship of some sort, a grandchild, new son/daughter-in-law, lover, or platonic friend.

there is no lack within the stack of your cards this year when it comes to the shallow bitch i call karma and her penchant for payback, but of what she'd have to say would you run away and choose to seer foremost of what you'd fear?

i'd be hesitant to guess yes, as a king of clubs sun like LJS, but of a Taurean rather than Leonine persuasion, chances are you'd get stuck in the mud deliberating on which way to run. ah, that's rather enough of poking for fun (i can't help it when it comes to bulls, call me a matador...)

i'd wager you've been struggling over the past year with letting go of some manner of thinking or ideology that has run it's useful course, discovering signs of re-found love and friendship along the way.

while taking place in your saturn period, speaking to a difficult situation requiring honesty with yourself, the eclipse season stands a strong chance to bring you great blessings, perhaps associated in some way with a new working partnership or a strengthening and solidifying of a pre-existing one.

on a serious note, though, karma is no joke. what you put forth is what comes back, and you can't change the past. you can accept what's due and choose to move forward, that much is true.
